Former Employee – worked at Eloqua full-time for more than a year

Pros – Great Product. Great People (not management). Decent Pay

Cons – Absolutely no work life balance. If you decide to leave on time, they look at you as though you are damaged goods. They won't tell you, but your compensation package is predicated on you working at least 50 hours a week.
The management style is micro management 101. This was sold to me as, we want to know why you are so successful compared to your peers, so we can replicate it. Right. Also be aware that your employment is a popularity contest. If you don't toe the company line - they break out the ole "getting done and doing right" evaluation metrics. And guess what? The whole doing it right part is completely subjective.......

Advice to Senior Management – Not all people have to "be managed". If someone is competent, leave them alone and let them do their job. It only makes your life easier. If you don't, you will only end up losing qualified people. You would think that they would be smart enough to figure out they are only taking money out of their own pockets by chasing away high performers, but Stupid is as Supid does.

Cons – - poor culture, no room for career opportunity
- often ignore the talents/skill-sets already in-house
- leadership team is questionable
- not an innovative organization
- don't value education

Advice to Senior Management – Trying listening to your employees and stop looking for scapegoats for when things go south.
