    A learning experience

    Culinary (Former Employee)

ProsProvided hands on training in the kitchen as well as in other areas of the hotel. All the employees were very friendly and the work conditions were good.

ConsThere was very little interaction with management and not a lot of teaching. They didn't give me a lot of opportunities to learn more skills or take on more responsibilities.

Good connection and opportunities to move around in the company

    Accountant (Current Employee) Alexandria, VA

ProsCompany gives employees the opportunity to grow and move on to different departments. Also provides good benefits.

ConsLimited staffing makes it difficult to complete job tasks and can often become very stressfull.

    Disappointed

    Cook (Former Employee) Burlingame, CA

ProsMy coworkers, night management crew amazing! It was not for me but others might like that there very laid back as in you can basically do what you want as long as they don't need to call the cops I guess lol

ConsBad to no leadership, very bad treatment ( I blame this on bad leadership and people not being told the rights and wrongs) your really left on your own

Advice to Senior ManagementYou have really good core people who are not in the right positions. you have people who take advantage of their title who's skill level is not right for the job no one is ever going to stay long

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Look forward to seeing my co-workers

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Burlingame, CA

ProsI love going to work and meeting different people. Very busy property. Able to build professional relationships. I love working in a hotel because I like interacting with guests. I am always learning something new from guests. It's much better than working in an office and feeling closed-off.

    ConsConstant change of employees. Favoritism.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe open to your workers. Show you are interested and value them all. Don't make some more significant and others mean less.

    New Tyrant Management

Food and Beverage - Bartender, Room Service, Server (Former Employee) Montgomery, AL

ProsThe actual benefits of the job are perfect, they're generally the reason you maintain the job because the pay isn't all that great. Depending on what dept you're in there's room for growth, but there's rare opportunities.

ConsThe management team has a very low retention rate. There is always some newly implemented, pointless procedure that doesn't solve the true issues at hand.

Advice to Senior ManagementDo better research, and work a few days in your employees shoes before you try and change the normal standards.

Good place to work, not much money

Management (Former Employee) Overland Park, KS

ProsThis hotel is nice and has a clean environment. I was always proud of the product we provided and found that the quality of our work radiated through to the customers.

ConsThe money to work here, even in a management position, was not nearly enough to sustain a career for long. There were also very long hours at times.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
