    Pros

Hands off management, great guest relationships, great money. Hotel management lets someone that shows great leadership skills and personal responsibility completely run the show and there is a lot of freedom, at least this is true for my location.

    Cons

Some rules enforcement with guests such as no smoking on the patio and no outside food really make for awkward situations and unhappy guests. Serious lack of training so you must show some personal responsibility and pride in your job because they don't push skill development for servers and bartenders.

    Pros

Great atmosphere and wonderful workers who treat you like they've known you your entire life! Wonderful managers that really listen and give you credit when and where credit is due. Open door policy with any problems or concerns and very understanding of request off and try to accommodate as best they can

    Cons

No employee parking, but that's to be expected in the city.

    Pros

When they hired me in 2001 it was a great environment to work at ,all the employees always very courteous, with one another, and we will always get courses to improve our guest services attentions.

    Cons

Being working at hotels ,wich are open 24 hrs a day you find some different schedules to work at like grave yard ,mornings, evenings holidays and weekends.

    Advice to Management

After 14 yrs of working at this hotel in the Galleria in Houston ,I had the chance of meeting 21 different General Managers. Very capable people, very enthusiastic and very careful with the spending of the budget every day tighter and tighter.

    Pros

Management is wonderful, most employees were fun to be around, guests were usually very friendly, you get a lot of free stuff from surrounding restaurants, you get incentives for doing well.

    Cons

The pay could be a little better, it's a business hotel so some of the guests were a little uppity.

    Advice to Management

None, they're doing a great job.
