    Pros

Interesting environment. The company is a multi-national, a subsidiary of Eni, which is the former Agip - the Italian national oil company. As such the culture there is different from most American companies, the Italian culture bleeds through to this American subsidiary.

    Cons

Getting initiatives off the ground is very difficult. There is alot of wait and see. Often no one wants to be the decision maker.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work to move initiatives forward into production.

    Pros

Working with ENI you will face challenges that can hardly be found with other employers. It is soooo big!
You will interact witl a lot of people and most of them have something you want to learn.
A permanent position with ENI is considered a big value and several people exchanges some salary for this benefit.

    Cons

The paths for get things done are not linear and straight. You need to follow all the rules that are there mostly to avoid that somebody gains personal advantages. Unless you are doing a simple "Hello World", you will soon learn that you need to build a network of people that have your same view and have a can do attitude.
Working on a contract for ENI allows you to present yourself and many who started on a contract got a permanent position, but this, usually, takes years (from 5 to 10, I'd say). Working on contract for ENI also means that, not that often, but might happen, your project suddenly is set on hold or disappears and the contract suddenly dies.
