I have been working at Enphase Energy full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Lots of smart dedicated people

    Cons

Smart dedicated people are stifled by homogenous group-think of all male executive staff who wouldn't know a good or creative idea outside their small sphere if it came up and bit them in the backside. For a company on the cutting edge of technology the management is embarrassingly old-school and continues to hire "like me" which means all male executive staff, mostly male promotions and a generally dismissive approach to women at work. The diversity is actually there but there's a glass ceiling and no matter how loud you yell "this is a problem" it's simply not seen by the myopic leadership. It's a shame because this kind of lack of vision is exactly the kind of thing that can bring a company down when all else is going well.

Respect is one of Enphase energy core values yet it is rarely evident. Everyone is very title oriented and a Director will talk to another Director of VP but they won't talk to an individual contributor and if they do there's usually yelling and/or backside chewing involved. Members of the leadership team routinely take public stabs at people instead airing their opinions behind closed doors like a true professional.. There are a lot of temper-tantrums and holding breath until blue and somehow it is now only allowed but normal. The civilized people just stand shaking their heads when the nastiest people the organization get promoted and the diligent get ignored.

If there's not a mass exodus of talent from Enphase in the net year, I'll be shocked. I think it's safe to say most of the female staff looks around and feels a sense of hopelessness and they are all tip-top and able to hop to a new job in a second. Will Enphase just excuse reviews as disgruntled and will they listen to those leaving with an open mind or just chalk it up to a disgruntled ex-employee?

If you are a female at Director or VP level make a move and push hard to get in. Enphase can use your leadership and vision. You might be the one that saves it from itself. Go straight to the CEO Paul Nahi with your value proposition and get him to see the light... please!!!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Time for a new CEO. Time to stop catering to the bullies and the crybabies and stop promoting incompetent men and making new jobs for men without allowing others to compete. It's not only embarrassing, it represents a significant risk to Enphase Energhy

I have been working at Enphase Energy full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Collaborative culture, good work/life balance (especially compared to Silicon Valley norms - office is pretty much empty by 6.15pm), smart and committed people, nice age diversity (again, compared to SilVal where being over 35 makes you feel out of place), walks the talk re. the green focus of the company, technology leader.

    Cons

Struggling to find right balance between instituting processes and weighing teams down with too much process, Sometimes too many involved in each project, so over-collaboration can slow things down.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Rebalance some teams to add extra hands at lower levels so more experienced team members have the bandwidth to fly.

I have been working at Enphase Energy full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Some of the most dedicated passionate people to work with. Collaboration was encouraged although maybe less now that it is larger. Love the product and how it can change the world. If you have a strong manager this is a great place.

    Cons

High level of chaos, big division between management and the working people. Communication between departments and management to staff is poor. Focus is no longer on how the product can change the world and just on the bottom line.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Scale the chaos - plan ahead don't react, increase your interaction with the staff not just managers - walk the floor, senior staff doesn't seem to be in control of what is happening
