Everyone one I know is looking for employment elsewhere

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsI cannot think of any pros at the moment. Some employees have tremendous growth opportunities, but that is only if you are great at playing the office politics game.

ConsThere are too many to list. But mainly the uncertainty of the organization, The employees are not sure if the company will be around much longer. The morale of the organization is at an all time low. The turnover in the HR department is soaring which is causing stress and triple workload for remaining employees. Bad leadership and line management is all over the company. Employees have no rights.

Advice to Senior ManagementTrain your managers to know how to manage people along with the processes that they manage.

HCM (Human Capital Management) sends employee morale to zero

Nuclear Professional (Current Employee) New Orleans, LA

ProsUsed to be a great comapny to work for.

ConsCannot trust current leadership. HCM killed the value of the employee.
Expect the company will not exist in 5 years.
Company survey was conducted at the end of 2013, and the comapny administering the survey stated that they have never seen such low scores. Will take years for the company to recover (if at all). Great job in destroying a company !!

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease listen to your staff and your regulators. At the end of 2013, the INPO CEO stated that the nuclear industry fears that Entergy nuclear will cause the next Fukashima accident.

    WOLF IN SHEEP CLOTHING!!!!!

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsManagement is a bunch of snakes in the grass. Upper management does not care or want to hear about problems, they just stick your fingers in their ears and say "la la la". You do get alternating Fridays off, but BEWARE DO NOT TAKE THEM OFF!!!! This is a test to see if you are committed. If you take your Friday's off, management will not like you.

ConsOnly single people without children and a life will excel and be able to move up. If you have a family, be prepared to get a divorce like most managers and directors at this company.

Advice to Senior ManagementThey didn't listen when I was there, why would they listen now. The HCM project that you just went through and laid off over 1,000 people was nothing but a vote for idiot managers to select their friends. Good luck with this decision in 5-7 years when you have to pay over millions of dollars to consultants to fix the mess you made!!!!

    Frustrating and dehumanizing!

Whipping Boy (Former Employee) Killona, LA

    ProsMoney, benefits, plant cleanliness, safety.

ConsGood old boy network is very prevalent. Good people are overworked, slackers get free ride.

Advice to Senior ManagementGive all employees lie detector test and ask how they got their job and are they related by blood or marriage to any other employees. Nepotism can kill incentive among employees that are not in the good nold boy network.

Account Manager (Former Employee) Dunwoody, GA

Consrude, condescending managers that tried to fire everyone in my office as well as no opportunities for advancement.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake a long walk off a short plank.

Avoid Entergy if you have other options

Manager (Former Employee) New Orleans, LA

ProsIt may be considered to be one of the better employers in an area where there may be few other options with Fortune 500 companies.

ConsIncompetent management. Healthcare with poor coverage including a $1000 deductable

Advice to Senior ManagementDo not place sr. leaders into roles that they are not qualified by either work experience or degree to oversee.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
