I worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You get to drive all of the new cars ,however that gets old after about two weeks of working there. If you like to sell then there's room for advancement. There's job security , they don't fire MT's often because they need the bodies giving that they have a very high turn over rate.

    Cons

Long hours and many madatory meetings/events after work. They also expect for you to ware suits everyday and to wash cars. Underpaid, the salary is not good. After, earning a Bachelor's degree you should be making better money and not having to work 50+hours each week 6 days a week. Everyone has to work a Sunday every couple of weeks, you may have to work 10-13 days straight before you get an off day. You will never get your two 10 minute breaks unless you work at a airport location. I was never given not one of my 10 minute breaks and I worked for Enterprise for a year at 4 different Enterprise locations. MT's has too many different responsibilities. You have to do a lot of driving, I felt like a taxi driver having to pick up and drop off so many people each day. On top of that they want you to sell ever single day. They have goals for you to meet. This job was the worst and most stressful job that I've ever had. I dredged getting up ever morning and having to work for them. It wasen't just me ,more than half of my co-workers were looking for another job too. Once I found another job, and I was able to resign it was the happiest day of my life. Your better off being an uber driver before working for Enterprise. I wish someone would of told me what I'm writing in this review now. Had I known all of this I would of never worked there.

    Advice to Management

Too many hours , having to work overtime should be optional. Give your employees both of there 10 min breaks because its needed. Increase the pay!!! Everyone in the office has Bachelor's degrees not GED's. Stop making madatory meetings and events after working there 10-11 hours a day your employees would rather go home. How do you expect for your employees to dress professionaly and expect them to wash cars ?

I worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car (More than 5 years)

    Pros

great entry level position straight out of college. can move up in the company quickly if youre motivated

    Cons

long hours, low compensation, company is very top heavy so room for advancement is limited despite what the recruiters and management tell you. For the first few years you are only compensated through hourly pay even though everyone above you makes their money off all the work you do. zero work life balance. you have to go to happy hours and stay long unpaid hours if you want to advance quickly

    Advice to Management

take better care of your employees. without your entry level employees you have nothing

    Pros

You meet great people/friends to work with.

    Cons

You are overworked and underpaid. The company uses and abuses it's employees and cycles through them like pawns on a chess board.

    Advice to Management

Care more about your employees and not just the dollar.

    Pros

The pay is ok but not great for the hours worked!

    Cons

Management schemes together to promote favorites. No work life balance. Exile you once you look for other opportunities outside of rental & don't agree with the unethical things they want you to do to succeed. They move you around to different branches to fill spots.

    Advice to Management

change hours. Make better opportunities for your employees to excel.

I have been working at Enterprise Rent-A-Car full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

As a fresh college graduate, it was easy to get hired at enterprise. It felt like I was still in college working with all young people. Enterprise is like one big fraternity.

    Cons

Working 55 hours a week and dealing with impossible customers can slowly steal your soul. I didn't get a collegbe degree to wash cars in a suit.

I worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Co-workers are great, the "us against them" mentality fosters tight relationships. Working at ERAC definitely helps with work ethic and understanding of consumer sales.

    Cons

The opportunities for advancement are just not there anymore. With stagnation in the overall marketplace, starting at an entry-level position is akin to joining a pyramid scheme at the lowest level. The job gets zero respect, and the hours are brutal. Paradoxically, the company shoves free booze at employees, which has its own negative effects of DUIs, fights, and generally bad behavior.

    Advice to Management

Consider converting the front-line sales position to a permanent job that includes commission, and reserving the "management training" program for actual management training.

I worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good job right out of college. Meet lots of people and made good drinking buddies. Better social perks rather than career. Branch atmosphere is not professional - everyone comes to work hungover.

    Cons

Upper management feels a sense of entitlement, especially the Rideshare division out of Carson, CA. Additionally, workers are under paid and taken advantage of. Many previous employees speak of "golden handcuffs" or the "dangled carrot". Promises of advancement, never any action.

    Advice to Management

When multiple employees come to you with a concern about management, try and get to the bottom of the problem rather than ignoring employee feedback. Also, when an entire division has to replace 80% of its employees, take action.

    Pros

Good Benefits You get to meet new people You get to drive nice cars You get to learn a lot about the corporate world and all of its pitfalls

    Cons

You will only start out making about $12/hr( oh and that's with a Bachelor Degree) You will be worked like a slave.... expect to work about 10-11 hrs/day Most people who work at Enterprise drink because they're miserable.... you will be pressured so get prepared You have to be fake to move up You have to wash cars in fancy suits You will not have a life People will steal cars from you You will move stores a lot You will have to work at the airport for about 4 months 12 hour shifts so that means, birthdays, holidays, hot summers, etc.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees a decent salary and give them a proper work/life balance.
