    Advice to Management

if you drop the rates on renting , it makes it impossible to make sales and keep happy customers.

    Pros

Large company, good benefits. Decent resume builder.

    Cons

Low pay and long hours. All they care about is sales and think they can train people everything else. They create a cult within the workplace.

    Advice to Management

There is more to life than sales.

    Pros

You will work with people your age if you're right out of school. you will drive some nice cars.

    Cons

You will work 55 to 60 hours a week. Making ya the salary they tell you will be starting at requires multiple bonuses that requires you to be lucky enough to get a customer who needs to setup a business account or buy a car. Yout are promoted based on hitting sales averages per month. There are many factors that effect your numbers that are out of your control and require luck.

    Advice to Management

Stop misrepresenting what people will be making so they know what they're getting into.

  7. Great training, bad hours, good coworkers, difficult customers.

    Pros

One of the best training programs at any employer, great people that you work with.

    Cons

Very long hours (60+), most customers are abrasive and suck to deal with. Consistently understaffed.

    Advice to Management

Give employees more reasonable work hours so that they don't get so burnt out dealing with customers.... I get one weekend off a month if I'm lucky.

    Pros

Coworkers are all very good people and are usually eager to help you improve(it only helps make their lives better). You will get very good sales experience because selling insurance is half your job. If you are a competitive person, work can almost turn into a competitive game with your coworkers. Great discounts.

    Cons

Long..long..long days. You will work weekends. Customers can be quite hard to deal with. Some managers will want to micro-manage you because their career depends on your performance. You are expected to have a very flexible schedule. You are expected to take hits for your company and coworkers. You will clean cars in the blistering heat or freezing cold. If you do not perform very well, you will likely not see any promotions. You get paid very poorly and you are likely extremely overqualified for the position.

    Advice to Management

Watch over your employees but let them develop their own style. Try to keep the days fun.

  9. Employee Rentention extremely low in Utah

    Pros

    Training every couple months

    Smart co workers

    Rental Discounts

    Growth potential

Get to cross paths with a lot of different people every day

    Cons

Enterprise is extremely top-heavy when it comes to salary. Level 3 managers make 6 figures and level 4 managers makes
roughly 250,000k. While MT and assistants make roughly 40k and after 65 hour work weeks that comes out to be about 10 bucks an hour. Also, our equipment is extremely outdated. Facilities are sub par. Booth at the airport is nothing more than a shack. Embarrassing when compared to the other rental company facilities at the airport. Was constantly being micro managed and forced to follow the 7 step plan on every transaction. Essentially turned into a robot. Be ready to feel guilty any time you take a day off (which is only 7 in the first year), as the manager will make you feel as though you are "letting the team down". If you are too sick to work then you are required to bring in a doctor's note or you will have 50 dollars taken out of your monthly bonus. Understaffed, Underappreciated and underpaid. But hey, at least the GM is loaded

    Advice to Management

If you pay your employees more, and require no more than 40 hour work weeks, employee retention will be higher than 54% for the first year (actual numbers from 2014). If employee retention is higher then you won't have to post job openings on every possible job site because you would already be properly staffed. The MT program is a good idea, but in the end is nothing more than a pyramid scheme. Don't waste your degree on a job like this, you will regret it. Just like I do, and the numerous co workers who have quit before me did.

    Pros

I liked the fact that they hired students right out of college and granted the opportunity to gain experience

    Cons

Management is really inconsistent that the business can't be run correctly. This company give their employees promises they can't fulfill

    Advice to Management

Weed out the bad employees in upper management

  11. Helpful (1)

    Pros

Good training and development. Resume booster and hire straight out of college.

    Cons

12 hour day minimum. High stress environment where company lets customers disrespect employees daily. No work/life balance and working to earn managements paycheck while you are stuck on a very low hourly pay. The speed of promotion they sell to you during interview is highly unlikely and little to none progress that fast. Very political company where promotion is based upon connection not qualification. Promotion qualification changed 6 months after starting at enterprise. rules change constantly and it feels like prison. Employees seem to lose morals within the company and start mingling with one another regardless of marital status.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and give them a better work life balance. Fair pay for fair hours is something to consider. Focus less on a dress code and more on employee satisfaction/retention.
