    I worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car

    Pros

Once you leave, companies will seek you out just based on having the company on your resume. You also learn invaluable management, conflict management and sales skills.

    Cons

Worked 60-90 hours a week for little pay. My subordinates ended up making more money per hour than I did because I was salary. Strictly hierachical structure. Mostly made up of ex frat boys. Cleaning cars in a suit in snow, hail, 90+ degrees. Glorified pyramid scheme.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Adapt to changing employee needs to attract and retain top talent.

Health benefits, great co-workers (depending where you work)

    Cons

Work/life balance, LONG hours, rude customers, unhappy management

    Pros

Employer paid meals, customer service skills, and culture and life long friendships gained

    Cons

Work/life balance, low pay, promotion is based off a verbal test. High turnover, offices need more staffing. More about thw numbers and leads to Unethical behavior.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better staffed. Better pay. More about the process and less about the numbers.

I have been working at Enterprise Rent-A-Car full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great co workers, can get promoted quickly with performance and being a favorite with management, great place to start a post college career. You learn the business (all aspects) from the ground up and learn what is required for success.

    Cons

Long work hours, low pay, many flagship offices now open 7 days a week, sales focused, no matter how high up you get you will always end up washing cars, poor work life balance

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make the company an attractive place to work. "Opportunity for advancement" doesn't cut it anymore.

I have been working at Enterprise Rent-A-Car full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

work with some cool people. definitely will get your resume noticed after you work there for 6 months, teaches you how to work hard and sales fundamentals.

    Cons

hours are horrible, close to 60 hours per week. pay sucks. micromanaged like crazy. dealing with retail sucks. not ethical; in order to be promoted you have to lie on a daily basis to customers telling them you need the car insurance, in order to meet your sales quota. you are almost physically abused, as you are not allowed to sit during work. Very physical demanding and requires you to be outside in a suit and tie under all weather conditions for prolonged periods of time.

I worked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Making connections with accounts
Working with people the same age group
Earning paid time off is obtainable

    Cons

    The hours
Cleaning cars off in 0 degree weather
    Management is horrible
They say they "promote from within" it's a scam- every promotion is rigged
Managers make commission of any sales you make
They scam people into buying their products
No social life workinf 50+ hrs a week
Lucky if you get a lunch

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Yes we are recent college grads. That doesn't mean treat us like children we are coming to work and trying our best at selling your rip off products. Respect your co workers even if they are younger and talk to them like they aren't the size of an ant. This jobs 50+ hours a week is horrible atleast pay more than 14/hr.

    Pros

It can be fun at times.

    Cons

The hours are drastic and the expectations are unrealistic. Upper management does not seem to have accountability when it comes to under-staffing and overworking employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't call it a family company because the families that benefit are not working in the branches.
