I have been working at Epsilon

    Pros

My Team - small, hardworking, talented, never say no.
    Benefits are great
    Variety of projects
Great if you are a self starter and love to learn new things
Ability to build a great skillset
    Lunch on Fridays
    Good, solid coworkers
    Decent work/life balance
    Good vacation

    Cons

Promotions - I've been with the company for a very long time, and when it comes to promotions you have a much better chance if you are in a main office Dallas, Boston, West Chicago. Even though, the people in satellite offices seem to work harder and smarter and deserve forward momentum.

Growth - I am with a very small team, so we don't get the opportunity to really grow into our titles for example, at this point I should be managing people, but we have no people to manage we are all still doing the same job that we've been doing for years.

Visibility - Once again this is due to being in a satellite office. Even if we aren't in your face, we're still working extremely hard.

Management - Management is a bit on the weak side. A lot of hiding in the shadows waiting for things to happen or sometimes the complete opposite and stomping on everyone. I think we need LESS middle management, and more people who are willing to make things happen for the betterment of the team and company.

Training & Equipment - Give your employees TRAINING. Even if it's online training, let us grow... let us develop/ fine tune our skills. Spend the money, it benefits the company in the long run.

Career Opportunities - They are out there but not much for the little offices.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

For the most part Epsilon is a good place to work, good people, engaging projects. The time off is fair, the culture is fine for a big corporate beast. Please start allowing budgets for training, and software. It benefits you. Also please pay a bit more attention to the talent in the smaller offices. We are killing ourselves to make things work, take a look once and a while. Start looking at who's doing what and who's not doing anything, and make decisions accordingly.
    Too much middle management. TRAIN.PROMOTE.GROW.
These things will help retain the good people.

I have been working at Epsilon full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Office culture is awesome. Folks here are bright, hardworking, and outgoing. Community service opportunities are often and many. Optional internal events offered throughout the year for employees to partake in. Epsilon offers 401k, health benefits packages (you may pick your own level), and paid time off.

    Cons

Depending on the organization within this company you may have a hard time balancing work/life hours. Lots of long hours which may include nights and weekends. Salaries for many of the careers are below the national medium.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recognize employees when they are making you look good. Employees that go the extra mile frequently should be recognized each and every time, not once in awhile.

    Pros

You can work from home after a certain amount of time at the company. Good amount of free floating vacation days. Good benefits.

    Cons

There can be a slight isolated feeling due to the fast growth and independent working styles.

I have been working at Epsilon full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Good benefits
    On-site gym and cafeteria
    Covered parking

    Cons

Upper management, at least in the IT department, don't listen and/or care about concerns brought up by managers and staff. Unless you're a 'favorite' or in in one of the cliques, the chances for advancement are very limited. Major issues are never fixed properly no matter how many times and different options are presented. Lots of turnover. Security is a joke

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to AND BE WILLING TO FOLLOW the suggestions from lower-level management and staff, stop with the favorites, and stop spending money with favorite vendors that do nothing more than put together elaborate presentations telling us what we already know.

I have been working at Epsilon full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Lots of projects, lots of opportunities to learn new technologies and process.

    Cons

compensation and benefits are ok. Too much internal politics and not enough attention payed to people doing the work. Treats everyone like a commodity.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better profit sharing, need better understanding of company's value preposition. The company is in transition phase with mergers and acquisition so too much chaos and clients see the chaos.

I have been working at Epsilon

    Pros

Epsilon is part of Alliance Data Systems in Texas and this brings some advantages namely in benefits. Company culture is positive and profiessional and employees are treated well for the most part. Salaries appear to in line or above average the position. One big pro: there are a lot of very smart people at Epsilon and it's great to work in an environment with some brain power.

    Cons

Some groups are not so great to work in because of the managers in charge. These are in the minority, but it's apparent since positons in those groups are almost never filled internally. With ADS, HR is or downgrading positions for new recq and so salaries appear to be trending down.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Evaluate your managerst to ensure they meet the company culture and maintain positive morale. A few bad apples...
