    Upper management doesn't follow the lead of the CEO and change is needed. Management by intimidation still exist.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

    ProsStable company as opposed to others in our current economic environment. CEO has diversified the product offering which has brought new revenue to the company. The company seems to be financially stable.

    ConsManagement by intimidation still exists throughout all levels even after six years of the current CEO. He promised to resolve these issue but it appears now that he is comfortable, focus has moved off the things most employees were looking forward to.

    Advice to Senior ManagementRemove the management that continues to intimidate the employees. When a company post great numbers for a fiscal year, at least reward the people that are still there with a 3% increase. Average for most is 2% and has been for three years. Start delivering on your promises.

    A company has dominant market share, but does not how to retain talent to make the business better.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Toronto, ON (Canada)

    ProsLearn about leading data analytics solutions in the consumer credit industry;
    Build up experience in financial services;
    See how businesses across all industries use consumer credit information to market and retain customers.

    ConsThe company fires people out of whim, primarily based on likeability and cultural-fit;
    Does not innovate in a timely way, due to the dominant market share and mature industry position;
    Company support in employee training is very limited.

    Advice to Senior ManagementPlease consider how employees think when you fire a lot of people in a short period. It is very demotivating and damaging the morale.

    The people are great.

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

    ProsThe people at Equifax are great to work with.

    ConsVery limited opportunity for growth. Out of the box thinking not supported or rewarded. Unfortunately, if you go the extra mile, you are only reducing your hourly take home pay.

    Advice to Senior ManagementInvest in the talent you already have. If you sell tuition reimbursement as a perk, let the employee actually take advantage of it.

    IT is imploding.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

    Prosgood pay, bonus at higher pay grades
    good insurance, although expensive

    ConsJust do a person search on LinkedIn for Equifax as a past employer. Draw your own conclusion after looking at the talent that has left in the last year.

    Advice to Senior ManagementNo advice. Pointless to give it. The strategy is to clear out IT and start over with cheap resources in 3rd world countries. We can't compete with pennies on the dollar salaries. Just remember, you get what you pay for.

    The best place to work years ago. The Sr. Leadership has fallen apart and lost focused.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

    ProsSemi established company
    Excellent people to work with not including Sr Leadership

    ConsGone back to the Good old Boys Club.

    All Decisions are made at the Sr Leader level which has repeatedly caused confusion, mixed messages and often was the wrong decision thus wasting time.

    If you are a female minority, you will be hired into the position you applied for however advancement is very slim

    Advice to Senior ManagementLow Margins, High Expenses, Low performing employees and non focused Sr Leaders is not due to the economy. The issue is all the knee jerk decisions and not obtaining voice of the customer before hand.

    Mr Smith, You have two Sr Leaders that are quickly driving down morale, creativity and production by their negative and demeaning International Manager style and personalities. GBS and USCIS is about to crumble

    My 3+ years began like and dream, and morphed into a nightmare

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

    ProsEquifax used to be a great place to work, but the corporate values changed in the past few years. With any luck, the senior leadership team will begin to realize that they have some serious weak spots in their ranks, and will be able to take this company back to being a respectable place to work

    ConsManagement at the Senior Vice President level has fallen apart. Several additions to this level in the last couple of years have been very dissappointing, and have caused the work situation to quickly go down-hill.

    Advice to Senior ManagementPlease review your Senior Vice Presidents, especially in CIS Marketing. You have added several people at this level who seem to be intelligient people, but have absolutely no skills at managing teams, and don't seem to have any interest whatsoever in gaining any knowledge of the actual functions of their teams.

    Too politically charged!

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

    ProsA brand recognition
    Complex projects
    Good people to work with

    ConsTerrible senior management
    Wasted resources due to inefficiencies
    Long hours

    Advice to Senior ManagementHire good people, and focus on keeping them happy and motivated. Don't look down on them. They are the reason you've made your millions and drive Porches.

    review for alpharetta tech center

    Senior Software Architect (Former Employee)

    ProsIt is normal company not great, pay wise better than industry

    Cons* No work life balance
    * Lot of politics at least in the group I was
    * No free sharing of information within group, may be job security issue

    Advice to Senior ManagementManagement was changing a lot with new GE leadership at top, but immediate supervisor (Director) was bogged down with lot of work so ultimately pressure would come to everyone under him or her.

    Few opportunities

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) São Paulo, São Paulo (Brazil)

    Pros- It's a good place to work, the environment and the people contribute a lot to the professional development
    - The payments and benefits are always punctual and you are well-paid compared to the average of the market
    - A very different place and market to work, you can learn a lot about the credit market

    Cons- Some of the professionals are clearly stagnant and 'slacky' or even apathetic and they prejudice the innovation and the improvement of the company
    - The turn over is very high, even in high levels. And the worst part is that the knowledge and know-how of some processes and projects are gone with the people when they quit.
    - There are almost no investment in marketing research and publicity to make the company more famous and well-seen. Consequently we don't grow in Brazil.
    - Network counts more than competence

    Advice to Senior ManagementFeedback is essencial. Solving problems and detecting our issues and the responsibles are as important as recognizing talents and good jobs. Make the employees feel like part of the team, willing to grow with the company.
