    Pros

Excellent, thorough training. Will learn the sales cycle from start to finish. Management is more than willing to help with personal development.

    Cons

Commission structure is constantly changing. You will ultimately feel as though you cant go up the proverbial ladder without taking a significant pay cut.

    Advice to Management

Keep learning. Always be open and willing to take advice from everyone on the totem pole.

    Pros

Friendly and funny people; good benefits including medical from day 1; responsive IT staff; feel appreciated by the company; most promotions are internal; company is dedicated to education and training of associates

    Cons

Some people who get promoted seem to have no business being promoted - it's almost like they use blackmail to advance. Sometimes it seems a little backwards that dev runs the show, more than business. Some managers place too much importance on a college degree.

    Advice to Management

Hold the right people accountable for mistakes. Be consistent with the company's "Dignity & Respect Pledge" and when employees don't treat colleagues with dignity and respect, enforce consequences.

  3. Great team, good culture, and management focused on development

    I worked at Esurance

    Pros

Overalls Esurance was a great place to work. Really good work life balance, good development opportunities in the office, and just a generally positive environment to be in.

The company has a pretty sizeable chunk of employees who left the company and came back after some time. I think that speaks well of the company and its culture.

    Cons

You trade some salary for the work life balance, and there are a few teams that seem to be outliers in terms of reviews.

    Advice to Management

I think the management should build a program to identify quickly growing talent and develop it internally.

    Pros

Great use of technology, corporate and branding philosophy is genuine and substantial. Growing pains as they transition from a large small company into a small large one are challenging but not disheartening.

    Cons

Not a place for passive ambition. Don't expect rewards to drop into your lap; if you want things bad enough, and work smart enough (not necessarily harder), your efforts will be recognized and rewarded.

    Pros

They have great benefits and perks. The OT incentives are awesome. Opportunities to grow within the company. The environment is great. I've worked for other contact centers in the past and Esurance is by far the best. Management is very helpful and knowledgeable. I love working here.

    Cons

Aside from the background check process, haven't had any negative experiences.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up!

    Pros

Great coworkers, always willing to collaborate and get the job done. Intelligent people, very approachable and willing to finish challenging projects no matter what. Benefits and vacation time are decent for the Bay Area company.

    Cons

Work from home policies can be a little more flexible (currently up to one day per week). As the company is growing some things tend to take more time.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good job.
