Service not products

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsWork life balance. Global footprint.

ConsLack of industry understanding. Glorified staff augment shop. Unrealistic goals trying to adapt product selling approach to sell services.

Advice to Senior ManagementHave patience with the people you invest. Look at your infrastructure and practice support staff before spoiling your relationships with client facing executive.

Pathetic work culture, though big brand name

Analyst (Current Employee)
Gurgaon, Haryana (India)

I have been working at Evalueserve full-time for more than a year

ProsGood for freshers in terms of salary. Big brand name.

ConsPathetic work culture, too much pressure. long working hours i.e 10 hours daily. middle management is too arrogant and autocratic. Quality of work is more or less copy-paste, but seniors still find errors in that also.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease promote some to managerial level only if he/she is post graduate and matured. Most managers are just graduates who have gained experience in evalueserve only. Please take feedback from subordinates also before promoting someone. Most important, overall HR department needs to be improved, most of them are freshers and seniors are not approachable.

Work and life balance sucks, not a place to stay long at

Investment Analyst (Former Employee)
Shanghai, Shanghai (China)

I worked at Evalueserve full-time for more than a year

ProsAs an offshore employee for large investment banks, you can get good access to large amount of materials from the banks

ConsAlso as an offshore employee for large investment banks, you should serve your clients (actually analysts in investment banks) very well, so the work relationship management is really difficult which causes work and life balance really bad.
Not a place to stay long at, most of people will stay 1~2 years.

Advice to Senior ManagementRespect your employees.

Good place to learn for freshers, should leave in 1-2 years for something better

Business Analyst (Former Employee)
Gurgaon, Haryana (India)

I worked at Evalueserve full-time for more than a year

ProsSteep learning curve
Young, vibrant colleagues
Exposure in communicating directly with clients (company has some of the biggest brands in its client list)

ConsEmbarrassing pay hike even if you perform better than expectations
Huge IT issues, slow computers extend your work timings
Appraisal not transparent
Your life in the company totally depends on the team you are in, some teams are horrible to work in, while some will make your life easy.
Some people in higher management are rude and lack people skills.
Company isn't willing to spend on its employees (poor quality chairs, very few team parties/outings etc)
The level of intellect is dropping as the company hires very less from premier institutes/colleges (maybe due to the low compensation it offers)
Very high attrition rate.

Advice to Senior ManagementTake care of your employees - at least the ones who are responsible for quality work.
Be more transparent and uniform in the appraisal process throughout teams.

Evalueserve used to be a brand name few years back but now its quality is degrading

Business Analyst (Current Employee)
Gurgaon, Haryana (India)

I have been working at Evalueserve full-time for more than a year

ProsIf you are a person who just wants to sit back and relax

ConsNot a competitive environment, worst compensation process, higher management not efficient

Advice to Senior ManagementYou should first of all give heed to employee retention rather than focussing so much on dress code

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
