    Pros

Health insurance is good and free bus pass.

    Cons

401k match is small, vacation policy is below average, sick policy is only OK due to Seattle law and promotions and raises are almost non-existent even if you score in top 10% of annual reviews every year.

    Advice to Management

The company motto is 'it is all about the people'. It is time to live up to this motto and show staff this is true.

    Pros

Benefits are good. Looks good on your resume when applying to your next job. People who have worked here are usually able to get a good 20k bump at least once they move on to their next job.

    Cons

Too much nepotism. Only friends of management get promoted. A desk level person in one department can get moved to a lead position in another department even if they have no experience in that department (because he/she knew the right ops manager). Also a bad case of some unqualified ops managers who don't actually know the operations they are managing, so they ask the new hires how to do the simplest tasks that everybody in the department should know.

Over-worked. Easy to burn out. Pay not enough for work you put in.

    Advice to Management

Stop the nepotism. Move the incompetent department managers and ops managers to new roles if you want the desk-level employees to take the company seriously.

    Pros

People are all here to get work done. I can't place anything on the work ethic of people. They are helpful and someone will know someone who can help you.

    Cons

Desperately needs multicultural education. Being one of two colored employees out of a team of middle-aged white men and women, there was definitely some discrimination toward me and my colleague. I was discriminated against along with my colleague based on our ethnicity and low socioeconomic backgrounds.

Not everyone is white with an affluent background.

    Advice to Management

    Get it together. Its 2015.

    Pros

Great healthcare benefits, great training, lots of big events for employees and clients and they do have monthly drawings and branch meetings.

    Cons

Terrible management, extreme expectations even in in-climate weather, very few raises, no regard for employee satisfaction, average agent has no room to grow.

    Advice to Management

Stop telling your employees you want high employee satisfaction and not doing anything about it but step on every last one of your agents.

    Pros

    Can be promoted quickly
    Paid Benefits

    Cons

    Work/Life Balance
    Pay not reflective of work
    "Managers Club"
    No career development

    Advice to Management

Disclaimer: I was let go. I am not jaded, I needed that to happen for me to leave. I was promoted quickly, but never given a true opportunity to succeed. Worked 65-70 hours/week and it was "going to get better". Handled every aspect of my department, was let go by the person who trained me. I was not given a reason.

Unfortunately, all the promises of quick promotions can come back to bite you. If you do not have a good manager, you will not be taught what you need to know if you wind up in a management role. 60+ hours of New Hire training, but no career development training. The wrong management group will wipe the floor with you and not look back.

There is a lot of talk about becoming a leader. Your management team will say all the right things, but will rarely live by what they say. At least in my experience and the experience of others I've encountered.

The branch I was employed at had approx. 50% disgruntled employees. They held the positions for benefits. Probably cause they couldn't find anything else either. Employee satisfaction surveys are done, but employees are not honest for fear it is not anonymous.

I was warned this could potentially happen before I took the position. They really made the sound of opportunity to good to pass up. They want impressionable youth they can mold to their culture, not necessarily individuals who have experienced the outside world. You'll hear a lot about the top execs starting as mail couriers or copy makers and driving their career into what they are. I almost lost my fiancé while employed here. Its a tough situation to be in.

My word of advice: I'm not saying not to take the job. For the right person, this is the perfect path. Just be prepared to disappear for a few years while you work your way up. An informed decision is a better decision.

    Pros

Stable company, pretty consistent from a profitability perspective, predictable work cycles, a handful of interesting people.

    Cons

Ridiculous dress code (particularly for Seattle), booooooring work, not an environment where technical skill or knowledge will be stretched.

    Cons

Everything other than the grrrrreat benefits is a con.

    Advice to Management
