I worked at Experian full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fancy work space, high pay, 230000 TRL for business developer without quoted sales experience... Presales is weak, but you have a good archive of collaterals and case studies to support you... sales coaching is fine

    Cons

Very junior managers without any capacity for management, no business consultancy experience, low quality analytics deliveries, nobody cares client satisfaction, just a sales oriented business... There is mobbing and fraud actively going on toward several people in the business especially at the decision analytics part in Turkey...

    Advice to Management

People are making overtime but not paid for overtime, shame on you.

I have been working at Experian (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay is okay free fruit and granola bars randomly

    Cons

Constant Change, one day something is correct the next day QA is grading for something that was correct Sales based although they tell you its not "selling" its "giving the customers an opportunity " Lots of upper management leaving or has been fired Not enough employees, customers constantly complain about hour hold times Computers are slow, always running slow but you get docked for dead air IT team does not fix website issues customers are having, customers are told a ticket was put in but takes weeks to months to get back with them so you have keep telling customers oh yeah its getting worked on

    Advice to Management

Don't constantly coach team members, don't reward agents with cheap games and candy to sell!

I have been working at Experian full-time

    Pros

Company outings and SOME of the people Benefits package are OK

    Cons

They laid off a ton of people and then realized they made a huge mistake and scrambled to hire them all back (sadly some of the people fell for it). Don't get stuck in the politics here, even if you deserve a raise or promotion it will take you 3-4 years to get one unless your liked and suck up to your managers. Half of the people who do get promoted do not deserve it and have no idea what they are doing. Black hole of knowledge, come here for a couple years (3 max), get the experience and RUN for higher ground! Same work every single day, never changes... you can only learn so much!

    Advice to Management

Don't lay 100's of people off and then scramble to hire people back... it looks really pathetic... Also only promote someone if they actually deserve it, not because you like them.

    Pros

The pay is relatively good, interesting products

    Cons

    Too focused on short-term objectives

    Advice to Management

Look longer term, recognize that high single digit growth is not interminably sustainable. More focus on building long-term values in the assets that you've already acquired will be a better use of capital then going into another botched acquisition.

    I worked at Experian full-time

    Pros

Fairly competitive salaries for Nottingham area. Standard working hours. Large salaries for Experian's cosy middle management level. Good Location. Some decent and very hardworking people in the business still. FTSE 100 company which is mantaining a soild share price.

    Cons

    - Not many high-calibre individuals or recent graduates. - Middle management outnumbers junior staff by about 3:1 - Bonuses are quite poor; unless your Grade C/B or above. - Can be very unrewarding - constant focus on profits makes it quite a repetitive, one- dimensional working culture. -Some of the worst office politics you might have to encounter anywhere- pointless and mundane bickering are rife in some departments. - If you don't quite fit in, then it could be curtains pretty quickly. -Underneath the relaxed, casual atmosphere/dress code, lies quite a cut-throat corporate outlook from senior management. -Some employees have been at Experian for decades; fearing business change and new forthcoming regulations imposed from FCA. - Only one real competitive in the industry which makes for quite a tiresome business model.

    Advice to Management

Need to plan for the future, i.e. appointing a long-term outlook rather than just focusing every working-hour towards hitting those all important bonus-guaranteeing numbers.

    Cons

Culture, management and the nature of the business, which is for-pay credit scoring.

I worked at Experian full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Average benefits. Line management team and coworkers nice, hard working

    Cons

Typical large company. Sometimes too politically charged. Cannot retain qualified high caliber employees, nor does it promote the same. Instead, when they do promote within, it is usually incompetent/mediocre people. Hires from outside typically instead of developing people from within. Too many levels to advance one's career. Only company I've worked at where people yelled at, or belittled people/bullied them some times form the Director level sometimes from Senior management at all hands meetings

    Advice to Management

When you ask employees what the problem is, listen and don't give lip service. Fix the problem, and spend less time seeking whom to blame.
