I have been working at Experian full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Good people and senior executives making strides to continuously improve the company.

    Cons

Business are soloed and do not work together often competing against each other.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to work to integrate the business so they do not see themselves as separate companies.

I have been working at Experian full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Good pay + bonus, benefits, interesting projects, global environment. Colleagues are professional and helpful. Generous travel policy.

    Cons

Very political and bureaucratic. Most departments do not really promote people from within although they claim that they do. Company downsizes frequently even though it is growing and profitable. Work load can be demanding as a result of short staffed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on job stability, internal career promotion and provide growth to employees. Stop wasting time on PR stuff like employee deal, client centricity and HOE.

Has offshored many jobs, although lately has been staffing up in U.S.

I have been working at Experian full-time

    Pros

Experian offiers good benefits with flexible work hours that really helps my family and me. Our upper management is great and the people I work with are not only very smart and skilled at what they do, but also very down to earth.

    Cons

Some folks in management just aren't meant to be managing people. Though it may be a good thing, it seems as if it takes a long time to finally usher people out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to and trust your people.

Very good company to work for, career opportunities opening up

I have been working at Experian full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Senior management has caught up to the fact that the company's strength comes from its people, therefore have been actively supporting the personal and professional development of employees, I feel that they are sincere in this effort. It is also a matter of personal responsibility and having the right attitude, of oneself taking charge.

    Cons

What senior management has realized needs to be permeated to local management, it is still very hard to advance because the lack of resources, human and infrastructure, is not coming at a faster pace; there is still a lot of work to do on this front.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pick up the pace at which better resources are provided at all levels.

I have been working at Experian

    Pros

Very talented and dedicated employees, team members support each other and will go the extra mile to help meet client commitments. Excellent benefits, a strong focus on making healthy choices and participating in health improvement activities.

    Cons

Location plays a huge role in the opportunities that come your way. Schaumburg is the place to be to have job advancement opportunities. In a remote location, the end of the road appears much sooner then if one worked at a main campus.

I have been working at Experian

    Pros

Good benefits, opportunity to grow on a global basis, acceleration of innovation over the last few years, very good senior leadership

    Cons

Takes some time to get things done due to too many organizations being involved, lack of or very slow paced adoption of more modern, agile technologies on the old core business

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let's keep up and speed up the pace, we're doing great! I am confident, more than ever, that we are in the right track and that we are executing on our strategic goals!

I have been working at Experian

    Pros

If you're a solid performer Experian offers a stable and secure working environment. The culture is one that encourages hard work with few resources.

    Cons

Difficult to move up in certain divisions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look to your internal people to fill positions before looking outside. It takes outside folks 9-12 months to become acclimated to our industry.

I have been working at Experian

    Pros

At the personal level, Experian hires great, great people to work with. Nice, fast-paced work environment, not boring at all. Good benefits, including above average vacation time.

    Cons

Lots and lots of politicking. Company is so big, everyone is expected to specialize, not real below average opportunities to learn things outside of your specialty. No clear leadership in management - no one capable of stepping up and providing direction for the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop with the politics already and do what's best of the company.
