I worked at FDA full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Learn both practical and theoretical knowledge with the research done here, as findings at the FDA will directly impact the regulatory base for the industry

    Cons

Process of exploring and applying findings to new papers or regulations is very slow.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Very good learning experience for the interns. Giving a list of pre-requisite readings or knowledge base would help clarify the aim of some of the projects.

I have been working at FDA full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Compelling public health mission; dynamic environment; large, diverse agency with multiple career paths; support for good work/life balance; support for telework.

    Cons

Challenging budget climate and funding model; difficult to access via public transportation; agency manages multiple and conflicting roles and stakeholders leading to contentious decisions. Space is also a significant challenge on the White Oak campus.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please consider implementing additional opportunities for compensation and benefits, particularly related to education, professional development, and student loan forgiveness.

I have been working at FDA full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Experience, scientific volume, scientific exposure, incredible learning curve, excellent uber-intelligent colleagues.
It is what you make of it and the opportunities abound - but it is what you endeavor to ultimately achieve that matters most.

Government process and salary - worth every penny of sacrifice in salary for long-term prospects.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice
