Good opportunity for growth, but some managers didn't respect the employees

Director of Technology (Former Employee)
Houston, TX

I worked at FedEx Office full-time for more than a year

ProsOversee a large department with a lot of variety; could hire occasional consultants which benefited the department; Great core team of employees.

ConsAll we were doing is making copies and they took themselves too seriously.

Stable place to work

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)
Charlotte, NC

I have been working at FedEx Office full-time for more than 10 years

ProsStability of working with a leader in it's field. Great benefits. Strong leadership. Cares about it's people.

ConsPays people based on other retail establishment scales when the job clearly demands much more.

Advice to Senior ManagementMust keep innovation on the forefront. Printing is disappearing and we should be so much farther ahead with technology. We have the foundation to be leaders in our country to connect people and possibilities, but seem to be outdated in technology and uninspired with innovation.

Great people, tough business segment.

Marketing (Former Employee)
Dallas, TX

I worked at FedEx Office full-time for more than 3 years

ProsSmart and dedicated people. Decent benefits. Good work/life balance. Backed by a strong parent company.

ConsVery slow opportunities for advancement. Management can be highly reactive. Hasn't been able to figure out how to integrate the Kinko's brand. Is it FedEx Office, or is it Kinko's?

Very good company to work for and very solid training program.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at FedEx Office

ProsTraining program and good overall company.

ConsWork life balance can be difficult and bonus structure is very poor. The poor rating is not due to bonus pay but rather the process of getting net new accounts simulated into a portfolio.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

A pleasant place to work

Center Consultant (Current Employee)
Portland, OR

I have been working at FedEx Office full-time for more than a year

ProsI've always worked with great team members, the business is solid and growing, able to transfer as my life requires, lots of opportunities for learning, always something new to do, attentive and engaged management, sales expectations seem to match the business trend. Pay is fair, lots of advancement opportunities if you're interested.

ConsUnderstaffed, FedEx Office seems more concerned with saving money by crunching payroll then making sure their customers are satisfied. The new benefits package is substandard compared to last years package.

Great company to work for!

Center Manager (Current Employee)
Boston, MA

I have been working at FedEx Office full-time for more than 5 years

ProsFedEx Office really cares about my development and career path. The training is the best I've had so far in my career. My goal is to be promoted within the next year.

ConsI work hard and I'm very busy. There is a lot to know and lots of information to manage. Like everybody else payroll can be an issue too.

Advice to Senior ManagementSolicit more feedback from the field about what works and doesn't work in the centers.
