I have been working at FedEx Office full-time

    Pros

Good benefits, they really do take care of their employees and tuition reimbursement,

    Cons

Back when I use to work for Fedex. My manager was not a good leader and role model at all

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire good managers that are good leaders and role model to employees.

I worked at FedEx Office full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great family of co-workers, everyone depends on each other and gets everything accomplished that needs to be done as a team. Driving isn't non-stop and can give you plenty of time to still be in the stores assisting other employees and customers.

    Cons

A rather large disconnect between store employees and upper corporate management. I know it's standard for this to be the case, but it really feels like corporate has entirely different goals and aspirations of the company that more times than not are completely different than what's actually needed to succeed on a store level. The corporate side people-wise is great, but their focus always seems a bit "off".

Driving is great, customers always enjoy seeing you, and you're usually delivering to repeat professionals. (not delivering packages to houses)

I have been working at FedEx Office

    Pros

It's a fun place to work. You learn a lot of valuable skills and meet a lot of interesting people. It teaches you to be good at multitasking and to learn how to deal with people.

    Cons

You stand a lot. If the store isn't busy and there's nothing to do in production things can get a little boring. The job is stressful, but good if you like a challenge. Customers can be very picky and rude, but you have to know how to talk to them. Scheduling can be a little annoying because it isn't consistent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Make schedules more consistent.

I have been working at FedEx Office full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Large company / Known both domestically and internationally / Great Benefits / Fortune 500 company/ Customer Service Driven!

    Cons

FedEx Office considers a 30 hour to 32 hour week full-time. This creates a hardship for an employee needing the commitment of a full 40 hour work week.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Guarantee employees a full 40 hours per week with the opportunity of overtime.

I have been working at FedEx Office full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

I have learned many things in the printing industry. The job has allowed me to become very comfortable with computing technology (I didn't know much when I started).

    Cons

To many forms to fill out to get the job done. I felt like I was being removed from the customer and more worried about what I didn't complete, form-wise, before starting or ending my day.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Removing 1 form and adding 2 more isn't less paperwork.

I have been working at FedEx Office full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The people you work with are great and the company is very dynamic so things move pretty quickly.

    Cons

Considering the different number of hats we wear, we do not get the compensation that we deserve. The company spends a lot of time training their managers about logistical factors regarding the business but very little time training them hot to communicate and manage their "teams".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend more time on making our customers and employees happy and less time on trying to standardize the business.

    Pros

FedEx provides lots of free training in various aspects of the job, from graphic design to time management and sales strategies. Most of my co-workers were friendly and competent, and the benefits were great, although they were gradually being whittled back with changes in upper management.

    Cons

It can be a very stressful and tedious job, especially considering how little entry-level employees are paid. In the time I was working there, many benefits were cut, including 401(k) matching and employee discounts.

I have been working at FedEx Office full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Great to work with customers. Working with team members are always fun and great to learn from the veterans.
Ability to multi task is a challenge but never boring at work. Always something new at work which makes it more interesting. Great benefits!

    Cons

Never have a set schedule. The schedule is always changing. Would like to have more team members in the store. Too many customers need help. Like to see all of the smaller centers to have better production equipment.

I have been working at FedEx Office full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Good work/life balance. Career progression and defined career paths. Relocation is generous.

    Cons

Technology is ridiculously bad. Pay and promotion is laughable.. arbitrary raise amounts depending on who likes you. People turn down promotions because the 5% increase is pathetic for the increase in workload and responsibility.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop giving the high salaries to new employees while you loose the experienced people who leave to get more money working for competitors.
