I have been working at FedEx Office full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent pay, depending on your location the management and work environment can be really laid back and the job itself is fun.

    Cons

The biggest con is oppressive management in some areas and the typical retail complaint of terrible customers.

I worked at FedEx Office full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

There are many good things about working for FedEx Office, such as the investment the company seems to make in their employees from day one, which (more often than not) leads to a great work environment at the store level. Benefits are fantastic (I had surgery for $80 - in AMERICA) and the work is fun and engaging.

    Cons

Everything done above the store level gets filtered through thousands of man-hours of corporate tweaking, so that when it finally trickles down to the employees on the ground it's thick with the gunge of a hundred managers trying to justify their existences.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Greater autonomy would increase morale, and quality. What plays in Fort Worth doesn't always play in Peoria.

I have been working at FedEx Office full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

In my opinion one of the few places you can still work your way up through a company. There are new challenges daily, keeping you engaged and interested. There are plenty of ways to make extra money as well through contests and up sells.

    Cons

You have to really embrace change as it happens constantly. You also have to be someone who likes to multitask and stay busy. This job can be very demanding.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No matter what is done from an executive level, the employee experience falls solely on the communication abilities of the Center Manager. We need to invest more in their development, recruiting, and recognition.

I worked at FedEx Office full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Very communicative company, fair, large networking ability company wide

    Cons

Too many compliance and metric goals, which seemingly change daily. Not realistic from a Tier 3 management level to complete required tasks, with 2 1/2 team members and do this in a 40 hour work week. If you have OT, you get performance counseling.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be prepared for a very frustrating, guilt ridden experience because there is no way management can get all the required responsibilities done, keep the customer happy, maintain employee morale up and then go home feeling like a failure.

I have been working at FedEx Office full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

As an Assistant Manager you are able to learn various forms of business management. From e-commerce, to competitive sales techniques and managing our teams properly in order to hit our monthly sales plans.

    Cons

The hourly pay for Assistant Managers is just not enough considering the high stress work environment and aggressive metrics we must meet.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Training should not be relied solely on web videos.

I have been working at FedEx Office full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great way to increase your knowledge with computer software, such as creating documents and customer service skills. Great job for a starting out before you get a degree and graduate from college. Then move on to your career path!

    Cons

Can be stressful and occasionally feels like communications to management are not listened to or taken into consideration.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When asked for feedback have some way to seem like such feedback is actually heard. Even if nothing can be done just knowing that someone has actually listened to something that was said would be a great improvement.
