    Pros

    Decent benefits and good customers.

    Cons

Poor upper management, poor hiring practices and employee standsrds, poor customer reliability, unnecessary policies got in the way of doing the job, employees have no voice and poor monetary incentives are just some of the problems, imbalance in fair treatment of employees.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your people, don't hold them to unrealistic standards and stop letting computer programs dictate the way the job gets done. You have a strong base of knowledge and experience in your veteran employees that you seemingly ignore.

    Pros

at first i got close to 30 hours, pay raises after 1st,3rd,and 6th month and then every year after that

    Cons

no opportunity for growth, started working harder with less hours they started rushing out the boxes, and for someone who likes to be organized, it was extremely aggravating.

    Advice to Management

Dont Push all of the boxes all at once, some people have bills to pay. for people who work hard, its almost not worth it,being that its maybe 25 hours so paychecks arent enough.

    Pros

Something is always screwed up, so even part-timers can usually get all the hours they want. If you like to keep moving all day this job is for you. The medical benefits are crap now, but that's not peculiar to FedEx. Even part-time hires immediately get the same medical as everyone else. No dangling carrot mirages, you get hired, you've got medical. 2 weeks vacation, 3 after 5 years, 4 at 10 years, 5 at 20. You CAN start at the bottom and work your way up to work group manager, senior manager, regional director, division vice president. Virtually all middle management is hired from within.

    Cons

Management varies WILDLY. It's a crap shoot if you have a good manager or a nut job. If you get injured on the job they will NOT have your back. If you like Christmas, forget about being a courier, for ANY company.

    Advice to Management

Grow a spine. Countless laughably inane corporate pet projects come all the way down from on high to the front line employees and no one along the way had the courage to tell THEIR boss, "this is stupid, it won't work, it will cost the company millions, it will alienate our customers..." and after it wreaks havoc for a year it is quietly swept under the rug.
