I have been working at FedEx full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The pay and benefits are okay, if you land the right gig. Lots of time to daydream, as very few tasks require thought to complete.

    Cons

Not much room for advancement unless you're willing to move to Memphis. Communication is poor and morale is low year round. Peak season (December) is a nightmare.

I have been working at FedEx full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Tech Center has a decent workout facility, reasonably priced for employees & contractors.

    Cons

Below-market pay for FTEs. On-site contractors are shown the door after just 11 months.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Downsizing via attrition is a recipe for low morale. Cut costs elsewhere, like top-heavy upper management in Memphis.

I worked at FedEx part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent benefits are an option after six months on the job for both full and part time employees

    Cons

HR is a joke, lots of miscommunication between management, they change the way they want things done often, and there is very little opportunities for job advancement.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at FedEx

    Pros

There are some good attributes to working for FedEx when you are part time. For example you will have 2 personals, 2 floating holidays, and 2 weeks vacation, 401k and health benefits.

    Cons

I have worked at several locations at my current 11 years, and the one things that all of them have in common is that the ramp agents are abused on a daily basis. As a ramp agent your are responsible for running the sort and have almost 4 pages of job responsibilities for a whopping 15:85 an hour starting with a 30 cent raise every year. You are responsible for keeping handlers in line, but you can't fire or discipline them but you are responsible for their actions and held 100% accountable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Remember we were once a people company, and the way things are going right now you are not taking care of your workers who are running your operation and are the blood of the company. You need to look into giving us better raises it's not fair to give your supervisors 30 cents a year for their hard work. I used to think this would be a career now i'm just looking for a way out.
