    Pros

Job security and the daily excitement that comes with being a Federal Agent

    Cons

Very long working hours (40-60 hours a week)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Managers should be well-rounded and not promoted to management positions simply because they are in good with upper management.

I have been working at Federal Government full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Working for the US Government offers good impact potential, varied missions if you are willing to move between agencies during your career..

    Cons

Salaries aren't competitive with the private sector in some subject matter areas. Not always rewarded financially for hard work in comparison to less motivated or effective peers.

I have been working at Federal Government

    Pros

In my current job, I try to plan out all major projects in a reverse timeline. I start with the deadline and work backward to set divisional deadlines for each part of the project. I work well under pressure. I have always made deadlines in the past. I use time-management and planning grids, to-do lists, project scheduling, and spreadsheets. I even plan for the inevitable snag or two that may come up. These tools help me to best utilize my time and to avoid becoming frantic and overloaded as the last hours of a deadline draw near. Additionally, I use e-mail to be sure everyone on the team works together and is well aware of when and what is needed.

    Cons

I have learned so much working for my current company, but there are no promotional opportunities. I enjoy challenges and learning new skills as well as improving my old ones. Therefore, I am seeking a new position at this time

I have been working at Federal Government full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Paid National Holiday, 12 Days sick pay and 12 Days vacations every year.

Decent pay and great work environment if you get along with co-workers

    Cons

Commute and traffic around the area, work hour is between 7 to 3:00 so you will catch some traffic

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management is doing a great job. My advise is to get young guys more opportunity to clime and take their own initiatives. They need the encouragements
