ProsIf you want career, advancement and opportunity, Ferguson has it.

ConsLots of hours, lots of work, lots of challenge, but that's part of being part of a company in the right place at the right time.

Advice to Senior ManagementToo individual to share, but we need to remember, they were us once, and hopefully they can understand that we were them; do they remember the 4am calls, the day after day, after day or long hours.

Good things happen if you stick around

Accounting (Former Employee)
Newport News, VA

I worked at Ferguson Enterprises full-time for more than 5 years

ProsThe company is a product of multiple acquisitions and as a result has very diverse culture. You get to work with wonderful people from different parts of the country. If you have set your mind to achieve something don't let early baffles discourage you, it's all part of learning process. If you are here just for a paycheck - get a job in one of the shared centers. If you are here for a career - start at the branch.

ConsFerguson has somewhat new corporate structure in the form of matrix with many functions taken from the branch level and moved to centralized locations. Yes, this saved some money but changed mentality from "we're all in the same boat" to "I got to cover my own a$$".
Working 50hrs/week is definitely a con and a good way to save on labor costs.

Advice to Senior ManagementIt's time to get rid of the parent
