I worked at Finish Line part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Fun environment to work in, normally lots of younger people. Great job to keep you moving and never a slow day. Great discount.

    Cons

Typical retail schedule issues. Upper management is a mess, from store manager up to regional/district manager. Expect to work a ton. Management also has a tendency to throw employees under the bus.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Keep the environment fun.

    Pros

Great products and discounts. You get to work with some good people in the stores. Pay and benefits are good.

    Cons

Upper management and District Managers are shady and don't care about you. Training is horrible on all levels. You are viewed as replaceable all the time!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Understand that the business IS NOT ALL ABOUT THE NUMBERS! Numbers are important but, it is your people that make it happen. Treat them with respect, train them properly and create an open team culture!! If you put people and processes first the numbers will come. You will have lower turnover. You will have happier associates and customers and then you will she your number rise and you won't have to beat people up everyday to do it!! You will also see your work/Life balance get better too! I promise!!
