I worked at Finish Line (more than a year)

    Pros

The relationships that the company emphasizes between employee and customer make the environment friendly and creates a relatively bright atmosphere

    Cons

The work can get a little hectic around holidays and especially tax free days but the adjustment isn't hard to make it simply takes a little more effort to power through

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

As far as store management and inventory arrangement they are wonderfully organized and decently efficient but as far as management to employee relationships they were rather cold.

Former Employee - Field Management in Brooklyn, NY

I worked at Finish Line full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Strong Ownership before going public, growing as they have a lot of capital, if in with the right people you can grow your career, over 700 store locations in all states, good solid benefits, old guard is now retiring and fresh management will soon take over.

    Cons

Under current Mgt people are not so much a concern just profits, lost the personable company that ownership had built, cut through will fire you for anything if boss feels threaten and HR is inconsistent with their firing requirements. Buying VP want to be president and presedent wants to be CEO and Board member has no clue.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat people like you want to be treated and stop making excuses for the failures in the past and stop blaming the field for your mistakes.
