    Pros

Challenging environment with a lot of opportunities to expand. Becoming the one Fiserv is happening - albeit slowly. Benefits are good, compensation is fair.

    Cons

Still to many business units that don't understand the word accountability. They are quick to dump their issues and run. Lack of any real product development, this company has a huge footprint and if they actually threw some dollars at development - they'd be untouchable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get the other BU's to get in the game or maybe show those personnel the door. Additionally, do a review of your core and IB products and maybe measure the performance and cost to develop and maintain those products rather than throwing money at 1960's technology.

Current Employee - Developer in Dublin, OH

    Pros

Work-life balance is usually good. Casual dress code. The PTO plan, cafeteria program, and fitness center are nice benefits. I am fortunate to be part of a team that has very little drama.

    Cons

Management takes too long to fill basic needs. That includes things like infrastructure, hardware, software, and other tools needed to do the job. They are also very slow at filling vacant positions when someone leaves or moves into another role. These shortages make it difficult to meet both corporate and personal goals. The Sigma bonus program was cancelled. So don't expect anything but your base salary.

    Pros

Company is well established, strong and growing. Good company culture with some good opportunities for growth.

    Cons

The customer support management's style of communication can be categorized as outdated and discouraging. The one on one meetings with manager are very negative. There is no recognition of contributions in those meetings. The management does not provide any mentoring or strong foundational training to the team.Questions are looked upon as ignorance and not encouraged.

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

    Local platform team flexible
    Values consistency
Great vacation (if you survive layoffs long enough to benefit)

    Cons

    Weak benefits
    Below market pay
Regular corporate layoffs to consolidate businesses
    Little career growth opportunity
    Off-shoring history

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Corporate intervention need not be for minutia. Local decisions have value. Don't announce philosophical objection to merging platforms to clients and staff, then slowly merge them anyway. Could be worse, but transparent management chain would make apparent flip-flop decisions make more sense.

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

    1. At every level you will gain valuable knowledge to enrich yourself and further your career, as Fiserv operates in the fast paced financial services arena 2. You control your career, as advancement is merit-based and there is lots of opportunity if you choose to go after it 3. Good mentoring at all levels

    Cons

At any large company, bureaucracy can slow things down, so expect this and work with it. Work-Life balance is there, if you enforce it.

    Pros

Salary, same day start benefits, 24 hour operation.

    Cons

Loud noisy rude and disrespectful employees (females)which management seems to be afraid of. Why I have no clue. If they get rid of these busybodies and all their gossip it would be a much more relaxed atmosphere.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Shake the tree and clean house of those problem employees. I have never ever met such a bunch of miserable supposed to be grown women.
