Room for improvement but could be worse

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Fiserv

ProsBeautiful facilities. The free perks like the endless supply of drinks is unmatched in any company I have ever worked for. The café plans are extremely convenient if you work during the day time. This would not be the case for evening and overnight shifts. Most of the immediate people I work with are fabulous and very knowledgeable and friendly. I personally have a great manager!

ConsFiserv must find a way to make wages more competitive. These jobs are not easy and the pay is far too low. Unfortunately newer associates are being brought in at higher rates and the loyal tenured associates are making far less.

Advice to Senior ManagementCorporate communication and local communication is in need of major improvements. The sad thing is everyone acknowledges this but it never gets any better.

Lots of potential, not enough investment

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Fiserv full-time for more than 10 years

ProsGreat people, strong products, good work/life balance

ConsC-level suite is too focused on bottom line and does not invest in people
Corporate push is to drive more efficiencies into the organization, however, C-Level suite does not provide adequate investment to assist in achieving those efficiencies making it difficult for middle and senior management to succeed

Advice to Senior ManagementPlace a higher value on talent at all levels
Streamline technology processes to make it easier to achieve business goals.

It's ok

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Fiserv full-time for more than 10 years

ProsAbility to learn. Treated like a professional.

ConsLow pay. Minimal ability to grow salary.

Advice to Senior ManagementYou/we have a profitable company. Share wealth with the employees who make it happen. Most importantly, follow your own basic principles/core values. They are not just supposed to be a mission statement, but the way the company is to operate.

Great place to learn and grow.

Product Manager (Former Employee)

I worked at Fiserv full-time for more than 10 years

ProsGreat people who truly love what they do and work hard to be successful.

ConsSome business unit executives don't understand what they need to do to be successful and rather than listen to those who consistently prove themselves, they continue to follow the status quo.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to your younger leaders that have time and again proven themselves to be successful and get rid of some of the higher paid BU executives that are sucking the life out of the company

Challenging Opportunity - Senior Management Changed Resulting in New Hire Layoffs

Senior Business Analyst (Former Employee)

I worked at Fiserv full-time for less than a year

ProsOutstanding salary for challenging opportunity. Met a lot of very smart people. Made work friends almost immediately. Was allowed to work remotely and travelled as needed for my job. Loved the opportunity as outlined in the interview process.

ConsThis division management appeared to prefer a specific style of communication and decorum that matched the senior manager personal style that was not properly vetted during rapid hiring process. New division was growing too fast without sustainable financial income to support so new hires were not "mentored" or given any time to come up to speed and resulted in significant number of layoffs of new hires within first year of employment. Processes and procedures consistently in flux. Expected to be the perfect fit without any growing pains.

Advice to Senior ManagementDo more face to face interviews for this level of hiring to ensure better fit for culture and style of division.
