    Great Place to start off
    Flexible schedules
    My Boss at my department was very nice and the best manager I had.

    Cons

    FIU has a habit of paying as little as possible. They are the definition of cheap. All the staff get less pay then other schools. Department to Department is disorganized.

    Great professors to work with.
    The university is expanding fast.
    Campus is beautiful and provides plenty choices for food.
    Convenient public transit on campus.

    Parking is horribly difficult at the main campus.
    Some management staff are unfriendly and very slow.
    Salary is relatively low.

    Pros

    The people at FIU are sort of friendly. The president of the university seems very friendly and intelligent, and he tries very hard to portray the school positively in the community.

    Cons

    I found the majority to be overworked and underpaid. There isn't much room for growth unless someone dies or moves on.

    Pros

    Cause the university is in Miami. There are a lot of fun to live here. Go west you can enjoy the nature life of everglades, Go east you can enjoy the signature Miami beach life, Go north is the Orlado, all kinds of human-made resorts, Go south is the Florida Keys. Life is really good.

    Cons

    The salary is a little bit low. The university is in latino community, a lot of persons can`t speak English, such as restaurant, supermarket, autoshop etc.

    It`s not a good place to conduct research, the culture of this university is make money. So if you work here, you can find a lot of fun to seeking foundation.

    Refresher material in case you forgot.

    Students never show up to learning sessions.
    Bad communication between teacher and assistants so you go into class without knowing what to prep for.

    Allow learning assistance ample time to prep prior to going to class to establish confidence in the students that they know the material they are supposed to assist with
