I worked at Fluke Networks full-time

    Pros

Decent benefits. Decent vacation. Reasonable pay. Paying customers who seem to like the product

    Cons

Everything is money and management focused. A company with as much money as they have, and who is part of the huge Danaher brothers will put people on furlough simply because we didn't meet our growth projections.

Also, if you want "professional development" that is focused on managing others and pushing the work down, they'll happily pay tons of money to send you to across the country to one of their parent company's business courses (DBS). However if you're interested in improving your technical skills, feel free to use your own money and your own time, or find someone you know to speak locally, but they sure aren't going to send you anywhere or pay for any of that.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Figure how how to help your engineers grow without having it always be by pushing them into management.
