    Pros

If you are young and have patience this could be a short term job for you. Get ready to work long hours and in a fast pace environment which isn't worth the pay or the headache

    Cons

If you want to be taken advantage of, over worked, under paid and work ridiculous amount of hours (ex.4pm to 3 am). This is the place for you. Most mangers hate their jobs as well because they are stressed out so they make everyone esles misrable too.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Trade places with a manger or sales associate one day. Then you can finally understand and make a change to benefit everyone other then yourselfs.

I worked at Forever 21 full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

There is a Starbucks on premises. Also a cafeteria. The benefits are nice.

    Cons

Almost too many. The workload is unmanageable and the pay is insulting. The recruiter tried to use "overtime" as an incentive for such a low hourly wage. The management is tired, angry, and disconnected from their workers. HR is irresponsible and negligent. Racism, sexism, agism were all complaints that were ignored, submitted by me and peers of mine. No room for growth at all within any department. Air quality and poor ventilation made everyone have the flu at the same time, and of course requests to have the air filters replaced or inspected were ignored. Office culture is downright horrifying. If you aren't Korean, you will be miserable.

    Pros

This company is a joke there are no pros

    Cons

Understaff with more work than workers can handle..company cares nothing about their employees the discount is only 10% which is barely the taxes!! I was promoted from head cashier to assistant manager and after working for a full month under my new title I was never paid my new salary wages even after complaining to corporate

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire enough staff to cover the store size and recovery! Don't lie to employees about promotion and never send it up the ladder!

    Pros

the store was in close proximity to my home.

    Cons

Extremely unrealistic expectations for part-time hours. Closing shifts lasted until 1 or 2 am, when the store closed at 9 pm. Never approved time off request. when first started was not trained very well and just thrown into work. Bad pay.

I worked at Forever 21 part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The only positive thing I could come up with was how quickly I was hired.

    Cons

First, they kept losing my information because of how messy and unorganized the managers were. During all the days that I worked as a trainee, I was the only sales associate in the entire store and I was expected to unpack and display about 200 camis, help customers, clean, and do transactions. Additionally, after calling multiple times, no one could give me my schedule (they don't e-mail it or set it up in the store). I found out the morning of my shifts that I was supposed to work. Management was a bit racist towards me for being the same race that they were and the rest of the sales associates (who I never met). And for the days I worked, I still haven't been paid (an issue that I will be bringing to corporate soon).

If you think you can deal with rude managers and a horrible mess of a company because of benefits, think again. 10% off is only a max of $3 off on higher ticket items. It's ridiculous.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clean and organize your stores. Every single one of them. And at least pretend that you care about your employees. If you don't care about them, why should they care about the store?

A Place Where Careers Go To DIE!!! Horrible Company to Work For!

    Current Employee - Assistant Manager
    Current Employee - Assistant Manager

I have been working at Forever 21 full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Hmmm... Cant think of any except they are trying to improve their computer systems.

    Cons

The don't care about their employees at all, there is not much incentive to stay. Turn over is extremely high. Most employees are disgruntled and don't last long. The hierarchy is a joke and the owner doesn't invest in the company, upper management isn't really involved and definitely doesn't teach leaders anything. They are not interested in growing people or staff retention. Their systems are backwards, stores fly blind with little to no reports and policies are not updated properly. Each store is run how management sees fit, no two are the same and no two districts are the same. It's a joke, for a 30 year old company one would think they would have evolved more by now. They will break you down as a person and you will hate your life, stay away!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

From the top down things need to be more cohesive, insentive programs should be put in place to retain staff, training needs to be improved including cross training, district mangers should be more involved in their stores and seek talent from within, benefits should be improved, there should be an HR presence in each district or store, systems and reports should be improved and be available to store management, less micro managing and more empowering of leadership, just give your company a complete overhaul start over with new high functioning talent from the top down!

    Pros

Discount is ten percent and you get it when you're hired.

    Cons

You're on your feet your whole shift. Management acts like you've worked there your whole life. I worked two weeks and quit.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fix your system. Your managers act like they got everything in control when they get a visit from hq but they don't know anything.

    Pros

The only positive thing that I have to say about this place is that I discovered some really cool bands. oh, and I got health insurance.

    Cons

In the 9 months I worked there almost all of the original management staff quit, including 2 people walking during busy shifts. We were given unrealistic goals, few hours to give to sales associates, and very little motivation to stay with th company. One of my fellow Asms was a terrible person who went out of her way to make my life miserable. This continued even after she quit and moved on to another store.
