I have been working at Forever 21 full-time

    Pros

You gain a lot of experience if you're willing to learn and have people over top of of you who know the company and can train you correctly. I was fortunate enough to work alongside great team members who were knowledgable and efficient at their job.

    Cons

Can be extremely stressful, and the payroll constraints, even for higher volume stores, can seem like a setup for failure. If the members of management

    Advice to Management

An ineffective DM, plays a huge role in the success, or lack thereof, in a store. Management at a store level, needs to be consistent, and have procedures in place that work for your store. If you were not promoted through Forever 21, and were an external hire, learning the company and utilizing the people that have experience in the company is your best bet for success.

    I worked at Forever 21 part-time

    Pros

good for a start on sales and understanding marketing culture. have seen leveraging happen a lot from, for example, sales associate to assistant manager. environment is energizing with the music. as for the things you're required to do--it's both repetitive and dynamic. diversity a plus.

    Cons

standing for a couple hours at a time straight, especially if you have a full shift and decide to walk to get lunch instead of sitting down to rest your slightly sore legs. also witnessed a lot of people around me buy bulk amounts of clothing, which probably had a degree of effect on me.

    Advice to Management

don't know if forever21 offers % sales commission, though I believe it would offer a great incentive for sales associates to increase your growth and retention

I have been working at Forever 21 full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great co-workers, great benefits, good opportunity to move around to find your niche. The company loves to promote from within. Theres also Forevers everwhere so moving is less stressful when you know you have a job waiting.

    Cons

The EE discount is hilariously low (10%), customers are some of the rudest people I've ever seen and the messiest. Expect to be in the store until at least midnight to clean up after them.

    Advice to Management

Payroll! Stores need more to keep the customers happy and the store clean.

I worked at Forever 21 (More than a year)

    Pros

Family-like environment. Good opportunities for young worker to get promoted and escalate the business.

    Cons

A lot of employees are very young (including management) so that sometimes results into lack of maturity and professionalism.

    Advice to Management

I have no big advice since I'm overall satisfied. Maybe I would provide better and more in-details training for new employees on company standards and procedures.
