    Pros

    Enhances ones conscience! and principles!

    Cons

wages regularly short, money still owed despite ACAS intervening, totally dysfunctional management, upper management no better.
You will be asked to cook meals, fill in for care staff, supervise cleaning staff, when you are employed as a Activities co ordinator.
Use your own personal money to buy craft materials, and wait three weeks before been reimbursed! if at all!
Admin staff will also be asked to fill in for care staff.

    Advice to Management

Try employing people who are dedicated, intelligent, organised, articulate, but then these people leave Four seasons all too quickly because they have principles!

    Pros

loved my job such a happy home until recently

    Cons

all the residents are so unsettled due to lots of carers leaving because new manager has tried to bring to many changes in at once and bullies the staff

    Advice to Management

tell managers that carers are humans and need to be spoken to as humans not snarled at and told the have to do rather than could you please do

    Pros

Its a job - that is all. Dead end, favorites get promoted to amarginally better paid position, not even on grounds of merit or qualifications. Staff are made scape goats for lazy neurses who are massively foreigners who do not know english well at all. Shocking.

    Cons

Employment law is not adhered to, managers, directors and unions mostly unison officers work together for profits not the actual poicies they should be following.
Residents are not given time to give quality care, even basic care is not able to be given on many days, due to skeleton staff, which they deem is legal. It is the most stressful job experience i have ever endured over many years.
There is no honest HR management, they are all for the company and corrupt. They devastate any whistle blowers raising concerns, they threaten and make up allegations against any individual that has a voice to do good and challenge the racism from migrants, the bullying seniors and nurses, victimisation from management, not following Health and Safety policies for both residents and care staff, medication given out by unauthorised menial staff members, MDS qualifications not up to date, Safety equipment not available to all, exposed to bacterial pathogens, not getting paid sick pay when contracting illnesses from residents, managers getting hefty bonuses to run under budget, managers using migrant agency staff of their own culture, it is a never ending list of damnation. E-learning is rarely done in the workplace and migrants do not do it themselves, even some british gewt others to do it for them, resulting in the training being falsely documented.Fluid are written on fluid chart, BUT THEY ARE FALSE WRITINGS, We do not have time to give basic care here. It is shocking.

    Advice to Management

This company needs a big investigation on a parlimentary level, managers should be struck off for corrupt propaganda and therefore neglect and abuse that comes from their misconduct. The company is run on bullying and harrassment. By policy even senior carers, snca's and nurses are endorsing the behaviour of management and therefore accountable for their part played in the bullying of care staff, resulting in their victimisation. i even witness senior/nurses treating residents with defiliment. CQC and Safeguarding have been informed and they seem incompitent at their jobs where isues are hidden or brushed over or compltely ignored.

    Pros

The people, there are some caring and frindly people. Also education, they provide a lot of support for people to do NVQ's in heath and social care, to progress in their career.

    Cons

The pay is terrible for a carer, minimum wage. Staffing is not very good. they will try to put as much work as they can get away with on one person. They give no employee benefits. not even a Christmas bonus or gift to say thanks. They are stingy with there budgets, where I work they keep cutting the activity budget so the residents have less and less stuff to keep them entertained and to look forward to. They provide very little specialist training in there homes, for example dementia training. They generally treat there staff poorly. The staff turn over in my place is very bad especially for managers and deputy managers, because they blame them for every little thing that is wrong instead of giving them the money they need to really sort out the problems, by updating equipment and facilities and bringing in more staff.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employee's and the people you care for better.

    Pros

the best reasons arnt the managers its the carers and the other employees the place were i work is nothing like a care home its more like a prison

    Cons

im a kitchen assistant and because of my job i have a bad neck which affects my left arm they are cons we have to live on a minumn wage because of budget costs . yet managers get 10000 pounds bonus i find this realy shocking they cut the budgets on residents foods . i work 20 hours i do pick up shifts . when were realy busy in the kichen say i finsh at 2 i stay and finsh my jobs i dont even get paid for it they rather look at the rota then the clocking in system if someone went in and checked it properly . they probaly owe us loads of money .

    Advice to Management

is to sell the company to better managers who are ther for residents and also the workers we all work very hard its about time we got a decent pay rise that gos with the standard of living . £8 hour

    Pros

Wonderful residents makes it feel worthwhile sometimes.

    Cons

Everything! Direct and indirect bullying is tolerated and accepted, low wages, "quick, wash, dress" culture, no time to spend with residents, lazy staff, personality-based workplace where promotion comes through social status rather than hard work.
