    Pros

flexible hours, simple tasks, fun employees

    Cons

demanding guests, tedious tasks, not much opportunity for promotion

    Advice to Management

some managers were great at getting to know the associates, others didn't seem to care about getting to know us on a personal level and getting to understand how operations work from our point of view

    Pros

Great co-workers. Open door policy from General Manager - Director of HR

    Cons

The manager hours are insane. There is no work/ life balance

    Advice to Management

Please be more respectful with the managers that have families, provide more work life balance.

    Pros

FSH is a warm and friendly place to work. The HR department and upper management work very closely with all of the staff. Training is very thorough. It is a great company to have a career with.

    Cons

The pay does not equal to the work put in. As a salaried employee you are required to work a minimum of 50 hours. They do not allow you control what days you work more than others. Each day is at least 10 hours.

    Advice to Management

Find a more competitive way to pay employees and a more realistic way to ensure holidays and weekends are more accessible to take off work. The net generation will not put up with this.

    Pros

The job truly is a team effort and everyone gives their 100-percent. The two managers and supervisors are great at scheduling.

    Cons

The uniforms are ridiculous. Black pants in 100-degree weather is more like torture than an acceptable running uniform. Other than that, nothing.

    Advice to Management

My only advice to management is to make the uniforms more seasonly acceptable. It is way to hot to be running around in black pants during the summer.

    Pros

-Possibilities for horizontal movement, cross-training. -Quality of guests whom we interact with - entrepreneurs, scholars, businessmen, artists, athletes, the list goes on... -Thorough and detailed training programs. -Benefits package. -Locker rooms w/full bathroom facilities, fresh uniform provided daily. Complimentary meals. -You can hold your head high telling someone you hold a Front of House position at a Four Seasons. This is demanding work!

    Cons

-Working holidays + late hours for certain positions, but nature of industry. -High expectations, stressful work environment. Important to pursue balance in personal life. -Inconsistency of training programs. Not booked regularly enough.

    Advice to Management

-Make an effort to acquaint yourself with your staff outside of the job. Greatly opens lines of communication and fosters understanding.

    Pros

Gorgeous atmosphere, classy clientele, top of the line training and exposure, progressive technologies, real career opportunity world wide in beautiful places.

    Cons

Hospitality is always challenging in terms of service demands. The affluent customer can be easier or more difficult - it's kind of surprising. Hours can be long or require a lot of actual standing. Pay is still not what it could be.

    Advice to Management

For those not directly at the front lines of service - meaning people tucked away from the glamour positions... opportunities to mix and learn. for instance, bring the PBX Operator out of their cubicle for a day or two a month and let them experience a day at the front desk or along side a concierge or have them cook for a day if they so choose.
