    I worked at Freescale Semiconductor

    Pros

The company offers great benefits. The best is the accumulation of vacation hours based on the length of service, up to 5 weeks.

    Cons

Not many training opportunities are available. Travel is extremely restricted. Lots of work, fewer people available to do the work.

I worked at Freescale Semiconductor as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

The work culture is very encompassing and welcoming.
The senior members are more than happy to share their knowledge to the interns and new grads.
Training is impeccable and all resources needed are provided promptly.
And the HR team goes out of its way to make the interns feel welcomed.

    Cons

    None from an interns perspective.
The compensation however varies by a big factor for grad and under grad students.

I worked at Freescale Semiconductor as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

I loved how I was brought on as an Engineering Intern and given a real task to complete. I was initially hired on for one role, and then was transferred to another position that was a better fit for me. The CEO (Gregg Lowe) is improving the company tremendously as well.

    Cons

Everyone is given a very specific role because it is such a large company, so often times you may have to try multiple people to find the best answer to your problem (which is good too because there are many people to ask).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I loved everything about my experience. Definitely appreciated the emphasis that school comes first while doing my summer/fall co-op and taking a full load of courses.
