I have been working at FriendFinder Networks full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The projects I am assigned are generally interesting and allow me to grow my skill set.
Most colleagues are affable and professional.
    GLBT friendly
There is a free lunch, although it's generally high-fat.

    Cons

The porn is not really my thing
Outdated policies include no working from home and, in the bay area with its unpredictable traffic, extreme emphasis on being on time. These are placed at higher importance over productivity.
lunchbreak policy: "everyone takes some kind of break", so it is counted against you even if you work through lunch and take nothing but bio-breaks. (yeah, that's illegal in California)
Discourage direct communication with Taiwan office.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you're not willing to offer top dollar to good employees, at least be more flexible with hours. Get with the times- there are plenty of ways to ensure that employees working remotely are getting something done.

  3.

This place was a stepping stone. Not somewhere someone would want to be long term.

    I worked at FriendFinder Networks

    Pros

Good benefits, competitive salary, decent company perks, some of the employees were personable, I hear they provide free lunch now.

    Cons

adult content, politics in the office, upper management has big egos and big disconnect from employees. Morale of the company seemed low.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees with respect and don't keep them in the dark about what's really going on behind closed doors.
