ProsGood pay. Depending on your customers you pay end up building friendships that last a life time.

ConsPoor work/life balance and they want you to be a robot. Constant threats of discipline by management. I've been with Frito for over 6 years. It was great in the beginning but as the economy has gotten worse so has the aggressive and threatening nature of management. Long hours. If you don't mind working 60 hours a week, being in constant fear of losing your job over "red tape, and want to work every holiday then Frito-Lay is the place for you.

Advice to Senior ManagementAll trucks needs A/C. During the summer here in the south the back of those trucks routinely hit 130 degrees. Get rid of the share holders, they're ruining the company.

Prospay is good. But you will work for it like you never worked before. Then you will ask yourself if it is worth it

ConsA witch hunt is going on. Drivers are getting written up for stale product. We are pushed for numbers, then when it goes out of code we are punished.. Never mind having any kind of life outside of work. Managers have no trouble bothering you on your days off.

Advice to Senior ManagementDont force us to put out so much if you don`t want it to go out of code. And when it does, keep in mind that you did push for numbers.

Prosbrand recongition, free shirts, jackets and capsalong with shoes.

Conslong hours, DSL with lilttle or no management skills or people skills. Very much a company where you have to worship at the alter of DORITOS and TOSTITOS. They dont want you to have a mind of your own or an opinion. You must almost kiss butt to survive, management tend to hold a grudge or have their pets who seem to do no wrong. Pay below average, benefits below industry standards

Advice to Senior ManagementTrain your DSL to know how to manage instead of promoting someone who has no business in that position. Stop the backstabbing of DSL toward RSR employees

Current Employee – been working at Frito-Lay full-time for more than 10 years

ProsCompany has been around a long time, few lay offs.

ConsManagement, benefit cuts in recent year (except for upper management of course), raises almost non existent. They now give so much money to the various regions and they have to divide it, so it doesn't matter how hard you work. They are giving us much more to do and less money and no more perks or incentives.

Advice to Senior ManagementSince this company is making money, the management needs to rethink the raises and benefits for the current employees - and not just for upper management.

ProsGood pay, thats about it. You will work for it .

ConsWork comes before your personal life. Days off don`t matter. Forget being sick or having a death in the family. Overworked to hit ridiculous numbers. Management will side with customer instead of RSR.

Advice to Senior ManagementWork with employees. Let them do their jobs themselves. Stop lying to them

Current Employee – been working at Frito-Lay full-time for more than a year

ProsThe work is always there. No need to worry about lay-offs

Cons50-70 hours per week. Not a lot of time for anything else!

Advice to Senior ManagementThink about your empoyees hours before you schedule required meetings. Safety? You state this is one of your major concerns. Let them go home after a 14 hour day so they can rest!
