    Pros

I have done a couple other internships throughout my undergrad years and my internship experience at FNC is the best one yet. I don't know about the interns in other departments, but as an intern in my department, I have learned a lot from my manager, mentor, and coworkers. I feel included in the projects that they are working on. Everything I do here matters. and I feel appreciated for the work I have done. The culture is very unique, people here are very nice and respect each other. Most importantly, they value my opinions. This is the kind of company I would want to work for!

    Cons

    I cannot think of any!

    Pros

They don't treat you like a typical intern. Projects are meaningful and worthy to the company. They trust you to get your work done without standing over your back. All current employees are extremely willing to help all the time.

    Cons

The work environment is a little old-fashioned. White walls and gray cubicles. Although open to suggestions, it might take a bit to improve the environment for the younger generation.

I have been working at Fujitsu Network Communications as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

I am a summer intern here at FNC, and the intern program is outstanding. We get amazing opportunities to meet and learn from high level executives, who listen to our questions and take us seriously. I have done real work this summer, not just "typical" intern activities. The people I work with, as well as everyone I met throughout the summer, were welcoming, interested, and generally very happy. The pay is great, and I really feel like I've made great connections and done meaningful work.

    Cons

The communication between different departments and teams is very poor. Information is not distributed about new products and innovations to the entire company, resulting in having to contact multiple people to get the correct and current information essential to peoples' jobs.

    Advice to Management

Improve communication between the different parts of the company. From what I have heard, the "transparent communication" pillar used to be much better, let's get back to that again.

I have been working at Fujitsu Network Communications as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

I really like the environment here. Everyone is very laid-back but still pretty hard-working. The new pilot area is a really cool new area for software development. The open seating and desk space makes collaboration and getting to know your fellow workers much easier and more enjoyable.

    Cons

The company needs to get younger employees, but this is something they are aware of and trying to improve. Additionally, some of the employees are not flexible when it comes to using new software to improve work efficiency. When it comes to changing standard procedural tasks, such as using Atlassian tools for code control, many employees seem slow or reluctant to adopt new practices.

    Advice to Management

Find a way to get everyone on-board with any new changes in work procedures. This can increase work efficiency.

    Pros

I have worked at FNC for more than eight years and I want to keep working here. The management is doing an excellent job with culture transition. They create opportunities for growth and they deftly recognize good work. Salary is very competitive and the work atmosphere oozes with positive energy ranging from those who want to help however they can to those who graciously show appreciation to those from whom help comes.

    Cons

Business process determination over centralized from FJ. Let's have some in house initiatives going.

    Advice to Management

    Flatten the bureaucracy little more.

I have been working at Fujitsu Network Communications full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Working at FNC has been a great experience. The culture is changing and there is more transparency in the company then when I began. There is a lot of opportunity currently to move up and take on more responsibilities. I think that Senior Management has done a great job of transforming the culture. The work/life balance at FNC is excellent. It appears to be that way in most departments from the people that I talk to.

    Cons

The business is currently stagnant. The future of the company and their profits is relying on new ventures in solutions and services. The future of the company isn't 100% certain. This really isn't too much of "con" because this type of risk is what it will take to break out of the stagnation.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you've been doing to improve the culture of the company.

There is a lot of potential for growth when you work in FNC. The managers go all the way in to help you improve technically and personally. The telecom industry is going through a lot of change now. FNC makes sure its employees are well equipped for whats coming. The salary is great. There is portals here where you can post your ideas and they get noticed and implemented. You will be recognized for all the hard work you put in. All the people I work with here are encouraging. I am excited to get to work every day morning(even on Monday!! ;))
