    Pros

    There are a lot of pros about this company. I started at customer service, and you learn a lot. You learn a lot of problem solving and you develop your interpersonal skills. After 3 years of customer service they wanted me to move to sales, so I moved about a year ago to cellshop. I never knew sales was my thing but I've grown so much! I'm top 10% in COE and it's very rewarding. I got promoted to manager after only a few months of selling. I now do both, which can be challenging but it's also amazing. I'm still maintaining top 10% in coe while also managing the floor on some days. I've learnt a lot about sales and also learnt a lot about being a manager and the responsibilities. The other mangers are very encouraging and helpful.

    Great team spirit. I'm very goal oriented so when I have a challenge infront of me I strive to achieve. I guess that's why sales isint for everybody. They say Futureshop pushes for results and sales... But at the end of the day it's still a company who wants to be profitable, and they need those goal oriented people. So if you think it's a lot, sales probably isn't for you.

    I think there is a lot of potential to move up in the company if your good. Also the salaries are amazing! Yea the base is average. But you should never look at that. When you work in sales you make your own salary. I'm going to make 50K this year being a sales consultant. Where as the next person can make 25K.

    Again, it all depends on how driven you are to be the best!

    So overall, Futureshop is an amazing place to work, I love my job :)

    can change shifts at the last minute.
    if you go to school -it works around your schedule.

    Cons

    -pay is not the best-the increase % is low.'
    -upper management look at you as just a number. When you need time of they always say NO. They say that they have a open door , but it was all was closed when I needed to talk

    Pros

    Make so many good friends, while getting paid great and lots of strong career opportunities. The culture here is of a family mentality, so while you do work for your own commission it is still completely a team atmosphere!

    Cons

    Working every single Sunday of your life. If you are a sports fan, or family man then this is not the day you want to be working always. Just isn't fair. Other then that there is not many cons at all!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Allow more weekends off for staff via taking turns or whatever so not everyone HAS to work the busy time. Nice to get a relief sometimes.

    The best thing is that you have to communicate with all kinds of people every single day so you always try to give your best to make the customer feel a very excellent experience which i like the most.

    The challenge is to achieving your sales targets every day without doing any compromise with the quality of customer service.

    Good commission, benefits, staff discounts are great and nice culture. They have an extensive training program where you learn about sales and customer service. They also arrange vendor training every year.
