    Pros

    Growing company with innovative products. Provides good benefits and generous compensation. Brand new location with great office and manufacturing environment

    Cons

    Too much office politics. Not a clear customer support focus. Aging sales force with little transition strategy. Product development is following competition rather than being innovative

    I have been working at G & W Electric Company

    Pros

    Steady employment with overtime available if wanted. Not a bad place to work. If you do your job and are to work on time management leaves you alone. Quarterly bonuses are something to look forward to.

    Cons

    1. Large Hispanic workforce. Very nice people to work with but they will speak Spanish every chance they get. It's very hard to learn a job from someone that has a poor command of the english language. Just from a safety standpoint management should make english the only language to be spoken in the factory.
    2. G&Ws starting pay is VERY low. The company is clearly taking advantage of the bad economy and the large unemployed workforce.

    Advice to Management

    Please address number 1 and number 2 above. If the economy improves after the next presidential election (as I believe it will) you will lose a lot of good employees looking for better wages and benefits. Quarterly bonuses are nice but they don't make up for the low wages.
