    Worthwhile experience, wasn't for me.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsGood opportunities for advancement if you wear GE on your sleeve. Its a great place to start a career in management.

ConsTerrible vibe on the factory floor. Operations team is essentially whipping a dead horse. It seems like productivity is a constant struggle.

GE Aviation Assembly and Quality Internship

Assembly Co-op (Current Employee) Cincinnati, OH

ProsCompetitive pay, flexible schedule, numerous co-op events and career advancement opportunities. Overall the opportunities with GE are endless and their approach for harboring in new talent is great.

ConsI am sure that overall the GE work environment is friendly and encouraging, because I have read many positive reviews and heard first hand about people's positive experiences with the co-op program. However, my particular experience has been more negative than positive. I have been placed far from my preferred field, and the culture around the "office" tends to be a constant battle between hourly and salary employees, with both parties focusing on the negative rather than working together to move forward.

Advice to Senior ManagementCo-op office: place interns in a department they have interest in.

Great for getting building a resume.

    Engineer (Former Employee) Clearwater, FL

ProsYou get exposure to tons of responsibility that will look great on your resume. I'd recommend this if you have a plan in place to learn and move on. Most people have been stuck here for years.

    ConsVery little chance for advancement.

Advice to Senior ManagementThere's nothing they can do. They are only doing what is told from corporate. They have their hands tied.

ProsReally big name, great company to have on your resume

ConsUnless you are an engineer, good luck getting promoted. Engineers > GOD here.

Advice to Senior ManagementStart valuing other assets- supply chain management professionals should not be overlooked by a guy with an engineering degree. Valuable, not interchangeable.

ProsGreat Work life balance Encouraged by management to try new things and get involved in The Community. Good Compensation and benefits

As a contractor, I was promised to be taken on full time following my assignment before Paradigm Precision came in.

Quality Engineering (Former Employee) Manchester, CT

ProsVery flexible schedule, team work is abundant, technology is state of the art. You can learn a lot from your tenured peers when they have the time to help.

ConsThere is absolutely no support from management. When you're stuck on a problem, you better have good problem solving skills. Just about every email I sent my supervisor went unanswered.

Advice to Senior ManagementStay in closer contact with your employees. It'll reduce errors in decisions made in your absence.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
