I have been working at GLOBALFOUNDRIES full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

There is tremendous upside to this company, lots of market potential, tons of work. Not a place to go if you want to sit on your butt and do nothing. It's still a start-up so there's a lot of work to do and they're still hiring a lot of people to help do it. I have a lot of flexibility to tackle the work and challenges I see. Strong investor support.

    Cons

There is a lot of work and it can be stressful, but that's what it's like at a start up. It can be difficult for folks that aren't used to working hard. Some processes and procedures still need to be established or improved on, but it's exciting to get to be a part of that. If you want an established company where you work in your rut and don't go outside the lines, don't come here! They have to hire so many new people that the turnover is higher than at an established company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more consistent with direction and strategy. Continuous changes in leadership, and the direction & strategy can undermine confidence.

    I worked at GLOBALFOUNDRIES

    Pros

I enjoyed working the shift schedule because you would have long weekends. The benefits were good and it gave me good motivation to further my career. The time i worked there helped me learn what I want to do in life

    Cons

Inside of the fab gets hot if your are sitting near certain tools. Early morning hours can be rough if you are not an early bird. The management was good to me so i have nothing bad to say about that.

I worked at GLOBALFOUNDRIES full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

-easy to get started on high-impact projects
    -good benefits, above average compensation
-very diverse workforce, and high energy coming from new college graduates

    Cons

-the management system is somewhat disorganized, high flux
-there is a consensus of discontent, however it is not evident of the atmosphere or day to day life

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase meritocracy. There are a few great people who work much too hard and it often goes unrecognized.

    Pros

-Employees are enabled to be successful.
-Exciting leading edge technology and typical associated challenges
-Positive changes with new CEO and Malta GM

    Cons

-Lack of accountability at department manager level for failure to deliver.
