    Cons

Culture not the same pm a lot lower kpi. Pain in the but. Regional manager plays favorites weekly conference calls a waste of time. PLAN O GRAMS pain along with store resets. Really useless

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Maybe let employees sell what the customer needs not watch indicators. Evaluation of commission more payroll hours. Managers have a life also and want to be home with their families also.

I have been working at GNC part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Somewhat flexible schedule, good discounts, learned a lot about supplements and vitamins

    Cons

Constantly changing numbers they want you to hit, pressure to sell certain products, even if they weren't always the best choice for people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The stores need more employees. My store only had 3, and that includes the manager. Need to be better with giving breaks and lunches.

I have been working at GNC

    Pros

Decent Pay. At a franchise there isn't much room for growth so they understand that it's only a temporary job before you move on to bigger things. Management is like family

    Cons

Not much room for growth. Some customers can really be a pain but that's just about every job. Other than that, it is what you make. They don't keep many employees so if you are on the work schedule it's pretty much set in stone, you can't be late or call out or it directly interferes with someone else's plans.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Not much advice they have a decent thing going for them. Raising the starting pay could add more to the quality of the job but I'm sure they have a lot of overhead cost and low margins on much of the product so it's understandable.

    I worked at GNC

    Pros

Great way to learn about products in the world, and how they push you to succeed. They also will help improve sales if needed.

    Cons

ruthless, and not very willing to help you out if you struggle. But they also hire individuals that are not good for sales position.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More emphasis on training for sales, and also forcing product knowledge to mandatory.

I have been working at GNC

    Pros

pay rate is okay and there's room for growth, however this is ideal for a college student looking to work part-time. One can find a more competitive or higher salary elsewhere.

    Cons

Salary is tolerable, but not ideal.

    I worked at GNC

    Pros

Great hours, knowledgeable boss, reasonable boss, cared about my success

    Cons

customers are mostly certain with what they want to buy when the walk into a store. It's not like selling a car or a tv where they know they want one but not which one; many of GNC's customers know exactly what they want. Some stores are low volume.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

listen to your staff more. Just because you are the manager does not mean that your employees ideas do not have merit.
