    Pros

Great benefits, unique opportunities. Room to grow, and be a part of a local Kansas company.

    Cons

No longer as stable as they were a few years ago. Sales incentive plans are lacking, and because of their current financial hardship many long time employees were let go.

    Advice to Management

Work to build trust with your current employees. A lot of workers are currently looking for new jobs with other companies because we are scared and uncertain of our future with GTM.

    Pros

This company is continuously looking for ways to be and do better, and employees are able to give ideas and take part in implementing new ideas, process, and projects. There are several ways we are able to express our ideas, and with so many helpful and just as eager people in other departments it makes it fun to try something new. The opportunities for growth are endless provided you go get them! I also appreciate the free on site health clinic and free gym membership.

    Cons

The new and updated software system has been a little tough to get used to, but we are starting to see how it will give us better results and reporting, and the possibilities to do more later down the road.

    Advice to Management

We know you all care about us and the company, thank you for everything you do to help.

    Pros

    Great benefits and pay!
Excellent opportunities for growth! Many of my co-workers have been promoted from entry level jobs which is encouraging to see.
Team members are willing to go the extra mile to help one another which makes coming to work enjoyable!
Most of the managers and supervisors that I work with are friendly, you can tell they Care!

    Cons

Because of the seasonality of our work, many of the operational positions are temporary. Although most of the seasonal workers are retained at the end of the season, its sad to see some go.

    Pros

I love the people I get to work with! My 'coworkers' are my friends! They will tell me what I'm doing right or what I need to work on. I learn something new every day which will help me once I graduate from college. The supervisors are very flexible with my school schedule and activities

    Cons

Sometimes I cannot find a parking spot during busy season which is frustrating.

    Advice to Management

I absolutely love the fun events. Keep them coming please!

    Pros

On-site health clinic, gym membership (although this is ending soon), I have made good friends there, though anyone with any discernible talent is looking for opportunities elsewhere.

    Cons

Poor senior management choices, mostly made by the owner himself, have led to financial dire straits. Unattainable growth goals, an ego driven vision (to be a $billion company) and implementation of software long before it was successful in a test environment have led to an overall plummet in morale. Whoever is posting these positive reviews are clearly from HR, it just seems fishy that a bunch of positive reviews popped up at the same time. This will likely be a dead end job for you, as career paths are nonexistent and we haven't had a pay increase in three years. It may be a good place to start right out of school for a resume builder, but beyond that, there is little opportunity, unless you are groomed and primed to not think for yourself and simply adapt the behaviors of the directors and VP's. Speaking of which, that is a totally dysfunctional team who cannot seem to get a cohesive direction. Executive turnover is unlike anything I've ever seen. VP's come and go with the wind, they either leave once they realize it is impossible to be effective in this environment, or they're fired because they think for themselves and try to implement their knowledge and experience. Team member turnover is astronomical, as well. Little incentive to stay when there is no personal growth opportunity and no financial rewards. The pay for nearly every position is far below industry standard.

    Advice to Management

Get it together and work together to get us out of this mess. Ditch the billion dollar plan and build a better, more attainable, inspirational vision.

    Pros

If you absolutely need a job there's a good chance you can get one here. Pay will be approximately 30% below the industry standard for any position, but gaining employment isn't too difficult due to the high turnover rate. Depending on your position, you'll most likely meet some nice people and create some solid friendships

    Cons

I would have rated GTM at a solid 3 stars up until June 2014, when the new company software was released and proved disastrous. It was no more than 50% complete at the time of release, and caused huge problems that have never been recovered from. At the same time, managers made increasingly poor decisions regarding promotions, employee policies, general practices, etc.

One of these practices, I highly suspect, is attempting to repair their good name by writing fake reviews here on Glassdoor. The recent 5-star reviews reek of something foul. Either way, I would be very suspicious of them. As I stated earlier, if you absolutely need a job, you can get one here for a little more than minimum wage. You'll probably never get a raise (maybe 50 cents after a year or two). As the other reviewers have stated, the semi-annual evaluations will always rate you at a 3 out of 5 at best and therefore prevent you from getting a raise.

Most hourly employees have had their hours cut recently and are only at 35 hours per week. While this is still full time, it can be less than desired for somebody depending on a solid 40 hour work week. When a promotion actually does take place, it's given to somebody who is complacent and mimics their supervisors, even down to expressions and mannerisms. While this wouldn't be a problem in a successful company, the fact that GTM is doing very poorly in their money management and customer relations would imply that newly promoted managers and supervisors need to be vastly different than the current ones. It's one poor choice after another that will only cripple the company beyond any salvation.

    Advice to Management

You need a new crop of upper management who have realistic expectations and most importantly, do things differently than their predecessors. It's probably not too late to just abandon your new software and go back to the old stuff.

    Pros

There is no good reason to work here. Wait... that's a lie... every way you turn is a twenty-something year old girl in yoga pants. That's a plus I suppose.

    Cons

Poor management, unrealistic company goals, inconsistent disciplinary action. Mediocre pay. 0 growth and advancement opportunity. New computer systems function like some high schoolers senior tech project. Production environment is dirty, poorly organized, and filled with safety hazards. Management is secretive and condescending 90% of the time. The sick leave/absence policy favors irresponsible drunks that miss work due to hang overs and doesn't do a thing to help employees with medical situations. And on that note, how bout a company wide AA meeting? Seriously gtm, poll your employees, I'm pretty sure the gtm labor budget keeps some aggieville bars in business. For a company that drug tests upon hiring you can find any drug you want, just ask your co workers. The company plays favorites, animosity between shifts is rIdiculous.

    Advice to Management

Burn it down take the insurance money while you still can.

    Pros

There are no good reasons to work here. There are no reasons to work here. Go somewhere else. Anywhere. Seriously.

    Cons

    1. It's a sinking ship.
    2. People get promoted for looking busy. That's a problem if you're actually busy, because then you appear to not have it together.
    3. People get promoted for being related to the owner.
    4. people with actual experience are ignored while kids right out of college are allowed to call the shots.
    5. The owner is a narcissistic sociopath. Really. He says stuff like "I don't need any more money" in front of the whole company when trying to raise morale and then rides off on his scooter.
    6. The culture can suck the life out of a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader.
    7. They make everyone memorize a long list of GTM values that management doesn't follow.
    8. Raises are partly based on how well you follow the values.
    9. Business is so bad there haven't been any real raises for 3 years.
    10. Management still gets raises.
    11. Another reviewer said there is no way you can score higher than a 3 out of 5 on any part of your review. It's true. If your job is to pick your nose once a day and you can prove you've done it because you have a wall full of signed and dated boogers behind you, that's a 3 because you didn't give nose picking feedback to the guy next to you. Values!
    12. They say they want feedback but they really just want to get rid of anyone who questions anything.
    13. At the same time you have to sit there and take feedback that you aren't open to feedback.
    14. The people in charge are the same people who almost destroyed Payless back in the 90s.
    15. Temperature control is horrible. Either an oven or a meat locker.
    16. If you have a job that requires travel, don't expect to eat on the road. They reimburse less than the federal rate and have been known to dock pay for going 9 cents over, even though other days were under.
    17. Crappy vacation/sick/holiday policy.
    18. Sales has the final word on everything. Don't pick your nose without asking them first, even if picking your nose is your job.
    19. True story: HR once sent an everyone email that explained where to go in case of a tornado and said Hurry, space is limited! First come first serve. I sheet you not.
    20. The company owns a private plane and a skybox at the stadium but can't afford to give you a raise because you only scored a 3 on your booger mural.
    21. If you're not convinced by now you should get a job picking your nose.

    Pros

The benefit package is okay compared to what is offered in the area.

    Cons

Everything from Management on down to co-workers. It is a very hostile work environment.

    Advice to Management

Quit being "buddies". Pay attention to those employees that come in and do their work. There are employees stealing from the company and being covered up by members of management because of "friendships". This is not good for the company or for morale of the employees who witness this kind of favoritism.

    Pros

I enjoyed the people I worked with. Everyone is friendly and easy to communicate with. No dress code.

    Cons

No real experience. As an accounting intern I deal with NOTHING accounting related. My role was very monotonous and boring. My role was more customer service than anything. Plus, I was paid less than the full-time staff, even though they only had a high school degree.

    Advice to Management

Allow the accounting interns to get actual accounting work.
