    Pros

Let's us work from home, great managers, open communication between management and employees, free beverages and fruit in break room. Not a stressful company. Very laid back. Growing company that is secretly take over the telecom world.

    Cons

Business processes are not efficient, seems like a lot of processes are held together with loose patches and work arounds. a lot of copy and pasting. Some people have been working here too long and are unwilling to change tor the better.

    Advice to Management

We have great office software that is being way under utilized. Make it a goal to spend money on projects to improve these systems. be more aggressive at getting the company over to the cloud. The company will make a lot more money over the long term.

    Pros

The company has top end customer experience software and is well respected in the CX space. Very assertive about getting the latest product to our customers. Management is very open to listening to ideas that rank and file staff have. The benefits package is very strong. A great mix of accountability without being too overbearing. i would recommend any of my friends to wok here.

    Cons

Can feel like being in a silo at times with headquarters in the San Francisco Bay area and our regional office in Chantilly, Virginia. Other than that nothing I can think of.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work.

    Pros

Great leadership and communication. Solid company offering which opens the ability to offer solutions and compete with fortune 1000 type of prospects. Solid products and solutions.

    Cons

Way too much internal process to get simple things completed especially on the sales / bus dev side of the organization. Worked for companies 3 times the size and it was much more efficient.

    Advice to Management

Most of all management opportunities are to promoite within, so there seems to be a very good opportunity for advancement, however it is a "boys club" with very tenured execs, so the frequency is not often, which is a good (stable management) or bad (not much opp to grow based on frequency).

    Pros

Genesys has very high expectations of their employees, and actively encourages them to stretch themselves, their knowledge, their capabilities and get out of the comfort zone.

At least with their R&D personnel, they want everyone to innovate something, large or small, to make the cycles faster, the quality higher, the customers happier, or the process smoother. They are quite serious about it, which is both exciting and challenging at the same time. And different from anywhere else I've worked, where this kind of thing get more lip service than true encouragement.

They aren't focused on a lot of rules that stifle people and their morale, but expect professionalism and they get it because of who they hire.

Work-from-home and leave policies are liberal, as long as the work is getting done. It's actually a pretty good situation to be there.

    Cons

Some of the benefits of Open Time Off and work-from-home are not as evenly applied to certain departments, such as Customer Support, where it is more difficult to get time off approved.

It is possible to get left behind if you aren't keeping up on new trends and technologies, if you are in the R&D area.

    Advice to Management

Keeping saying what you mean and meaning what you say. Keep up the innovation push, but do bear in mind that not everyone is an inventor, and some that aren't always innovating are still bringing value in tangilble ways. Never let those folks feel left behind.

    Pros

A company on current and dynamic expansion.
Flexible work schedule and telecommute options
A little heavy on the projects side while resources are not available fast enough.
If you work with a team that helps each other, you accomplish your goals. I'm fortunate to be in one such team.

    Cons

It's getting a bit heavy on the projects demand list while resources have not been alloted to them.

    Cons

The cross team communication seems not that much, which may be better if different teams in different location can collaborate better.

    Pros

Genesys listens to their employees. One employee survey revealed a need for training and personal growth. The company responded with an increase in number of trainings and webinars on personal growth..

    Cons

Employees even on the same floor don't know one another and the fact that we occupy several floors attribute to some fragmentation. To balance this, the company has activities such as happy hours, bagel breakfasts which bring employees together.

    Advice to Management

Leaders should ask all levels of management to recognize and reward their employees once a year. This should be incorporated into their performance review. Review salaries of employees that have not had a salary increase/raise in several years.
