I have been working at Georgia Tech full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Good compensation and benefits, access to state-of-the-art gym, excellent continuing-education opportunities, ability to advance, pedestrian- and bike-friendly, access to great scientists and research projects.

    Cons

Administration was increasingly difficult to work with, institution installs extraneous "fees", parking became a nightmare during sports events, school obviously prioritizes graduate programs over undergraduate studies.

I have been working at Georgia Tech as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

GaTech is a great University to be. When you work for GaTech, you just don't think about anything else because you are already in one of the greatest places you could ever be. Everyone is very happy and clever around me. The campus is great. I love being here.

    Cons

There are not so many career opportunities and most people are as usual a little spoiled. Well Universities are always like this, aren't they.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think it should be mandatory for everyone to be in their offices everyday, whole day.

I have been working at Georgia Tech part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Some of the best researchers in practically any engineering field can be found at Tech. As a graduate research assistant, you will be driven to high achievements.

    Cons

Administration as an entity can be a bit distant, though there are many individuals eager to help. Some professors can be very difficult to work for.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue on your current trajectory. I am incredibly impressed in the positive changes in the institution that I've seen since I've arrived. More feedback and evaluation of professors on the grounds of their interactions with graduate students would be greatly appreciated as well.
