    A lot of responsibility for low pay. Prepare to work hard. I don't mind working hard but the reward is minimal.

    I like the flexability of the schedule. And have somewhat of an opportunity to explore other departments.

    Cons

    There are clicks with upper management and employees, that may hinder your ability for advancement within the company. Some of these employees in the "click" receive better treatment then others and do what they please, without repercussion. These "click" employees also disrespect the SCO employees that are responsible for their behavior.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Advice to management. Be more aware of your surroundings, including the (little people) cashiers. CLICKS! Give credit where credit is due! Appreciate your employees! Thank them! Great comments are given every day from customers. Do you get them? There are jealous employees that will not pass on great comments from customers. wrong.

    meeting different people everyday.most coworkers are good people.

    constant badgering to work harder.no incentive to do so.low pay even if you show dedication and stay employed for years.

    Pros

    Store managers are pretty laidback people, as long as you are doing something work related, co-workers are also nice and very helpful. The benefits are pretty good. The pay is good compared to other grocery stores with similar type of jobs.

    Cons

    The worst thing about working here is it's very tough to move up and advance to better positions, the fastest way to do so is by befriending store managers and other upper management, and hope that they like you enough to recommend you. The work-life balance could be better, but it's expected since it's retail.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    The advice I have for management is to train and hire within the company for managerial and corporate positions, since a lot of younger employees are finishing college and looking to continue their careers. Also offer more scholarships to students that are in college and are majoring in a field where GE can employ them after graduating.

    Good benefits
    Down to earth group of people

    Cons

    Training is inadequate for the amount of things you are expected to know.
    Both customers and coworkers can be high strung and slightly agressive.
    Be prepared to get yelled at by customers ALOT for things that are out of your control.

    Needs better and longer training.
    Corporate needs to understand that half the rules they set make the work flow less efficient and prevent us from doing our jobs faster, which leads to angry customers and more complaints overall

    I can't really state any

    Cons

    The pay is horrible, the hours are low, impossible to get full time work and they have a million work rules that are ridiculous. They will fire anyone on the spot for eating something that is being throw away. Doesn't make sense but this company terminates so many people I am surprised people apply to work there when they go over to Walmart or Mickey D's and get more money and better treatment. A stronger union is needed as local 23 are a bunch of chumps who cave to the company demands.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Treat people better and put together a better workplace....not the workers fault you are losing business. Cut your prices as they suck. The CEO knows absolutely nothing about the business. Also they are firing men right and left the entire company is now run women.....it doesn't make sense.
