    Pros

    Closed last week of year

    Cons

Not enough headcount - people forced out in suspicious ways at NJ locations, others retire and quit, no one hired to fill these positions, those remaining expected to absorb the workload. People in both NY and NJ offices overworked, miserable, little room for growth and rare promoting from within, no raises or bonuses unless you're "important" (perfumers, upper mgmt, sales) everyone else expected to work like dogs to pad the important people's bank accounts.

Clunky systems that slow down work, terrible customer service to clients, clients complain that business is more difficult with Givaudan compared to competitors. NY office very cliquey, old ladies that behave like mean girls, higher ups allowed to bully others and get promotions for it, different rules for different teams, certain teams given perks that Others are not and upper mgmt allows. Surprising that this company isn't sued more often for all the unethical and illegal practices they allow to occur openly.

    Advice to Management

Stop being too cheap to hire enough people and buy the right software. Many good people have left and will continue to, and they talk openly in the industry about how miserable it is to work at Givaudan.

    Pros

The only pros are the cafeteria, decent coffee and good benefits. These pros, however, do not even begin to outweigh the cons.

    Cons

Where can I start? The management (and HR) is extremely corrupt and the building consists of the worst office politics I have seen anywhere. The training is nonexistent and most of the people within the company are there to bring you down, not build you up (Asking for help is a sign of weakness). Run as fast as you can from this company!

    Advice to Management

Invest in proper training and take some courses on how to be a proper manager.

    Pros

This was a good place to work back in the day...no longer the case. Upper Mgmnt (Dept Mgrs as well as HR) does not demonstrate leadership, and comes across as demeaning 80% of time. They are nice 20% of time only when they want something from you.

    Cons

Demeaning leadership, favortism, HR is not receptive and not approachable (corporate and plant). Lack of interdepartment communication.

    Advice to Management

Value your employees, as they work very long hours and are not acknowledged for their dedication.

    Pros

The cons make any pro non-existent.

    Cons

Management is abusive & smokes in their offices. There is no growth here, at any level. HR is corrupt. I have worked in many industries and companies over the past 15 years and this is by far the most unethical and emotionally draining place to work.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of NAFF management and invest in your staff!

    Pros

they pay above market and plenty of overtime if you want it

    Cons

lack communications with employees, expose you to chemicals that can cause you health issues. Management is inconsiderate. Discrimination is rampant. no promotion process. Horrible raises. lack any training program. Unsafe work place. Don't play by the rules. Cheat on audits.

    Advice to Management

start over fire them all and get a real management staff

    Pros

The company is profitable year after year. This is beneficial to those at the top. Otherwise there is no incentive to working hard.

    Cons

Employees had to work off the clock and not get paid in the summer.
Headcount is too low while employees are overworked.
    No work/life balance.
    Poor communication within the company.
Impotent HR controlled by upper management that allows people with power to wield it unchecked.
No formal training of new employees or uniform protocols. Leads to everyone doing everything differently.
Employees were required to come to work right after Hurricane Sandy on Oct 31 even though most live outside the city, public transportation was not operating and many did not have power at home.
There is a total lack of humanity and respect for employees.

    Advice to Management

Have HR professionals that focus on the employees' best interests and learn what employees' actual work loads are instead of eating and smoking all day.
    Treat employees like human beings.

    Pros

I can't think of any. I guess it is a job and you make a lot more money because of all of the OT

    Cons

pay, hours, no advancement possibilities, Managers do not listen, A lot of yelling and very unprofessional work environment

    Advice to Management

If you want to keep your employees, you need to at least act as if you respect them and give them at least the illusion they are part of a team. Don't work the emloyees to death. Besides never having any time off, the cost of overtime is unbelievable.

    Advice to Management

get a decent management that wil listen to the people that live this seven days a week instead of pointing fingers
