    Pros

Flex time, profit sharing, good tasting things.

    Cons

Givaudan's habit of outsourcing, being incredibly cheap, typical hypocrisy.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend more money on your employees. When it comes to safety you still haven't convinced production people that you give it anything more than lip service. Get rid of the bullies.

    Pros

One of the best in the industry. Company benefit are OK

    Cons

Chaotic. Keep changing directions & strategies. Management has too much control and are short-sighted. Incompetent co-workers and low morale.
Very small industry and people are either from IFF or Firmenich. Hard to find people with real talent.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Hire better people; maintain the stability of management team; empower the middle management;

    Very profitable

Relatively good compensation and work-life balance
Relatively stable company , no many turnovers except human resource staff
Matrix company, new comer will feel be valued

    Cons

Many incompetent persons hold middle-level management positions only due to seniority
No much room for energetic, capable newcomer to grow
No clear career path to follow
Communication share among divisions is almost nonexist
    Very complicated organizational structure

    Pros

Play the politics and you will be fine. Does not expect you to work long hours or weekends except if the boss needs something that suits him

    Cons

Dubai senior management are far from being professional. If you are willing to play the politics fine else forget it

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Change management of Dubai to someone professional... Also, look into career growth of the team. Money should not be the only motive for people to stay

could be such a great place! but internal politics play too big of a role

    • Comp & Benefits

    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee
    Current Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

Great overall knowledge of the field of flavors and food, with many experts in their own specialties. lots of contacts with customers

    Cons

poor rewarding culture, little recognition for progress and innovation. very much a silo mentality between departments and no honest encouragement from upper management to change it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

show change by example! if upper management is not into it, nothing will ever come from the base. reinforce accountability! it's ok that things don't work, but people need to be made accountable for their decisions and not change their opinion every other week! it's turning into petty politics instead of leadership..
