I have been working at Glassdoor full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

I come to work inspired every day by the people and the product. In addition, everyone is treated like an adult...get your work done, and no one cares if you've taken time to go to the gym or run some errands. It is incredibly exciting to be a part of a team that is helping to increase transparency in the employment world.

    Cons

They really need to figure out a fair distribution of territories as it's clear that some people have a much better opportunity than others to succeed. They are working on this, and I'm hopeful that it will be more evenly distributed for everyone going forward.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to do pulse checks on your team, continue to hire sales development reps (who are awesome) and continue to invest in getting the glassdoor name out there.

I worked at Glassdoor full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Amazing company culture, they genuinely care about the whole team and encourage collaboration. There was also a good amount of training right after being hired and then weekly as well.

    Cons

The sales organization has grown quickly in 2014, however, they still have not adjusted for a distribution of accounts with appropriate quotas to represent the amount of opportunity in each area.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Align quotas to represent the amount of awareness and business in a particular region. Quotas in the
Bay area are easier to achieve than in say.... Kansas. A round robin of accounts may alleviate this disadvantage to newer reps.

I have been working at Glassdoor full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible hours, great lunch food, free snacks in the kitchen, good people.

    Cons

HR. Anything that has to do HR/payroll makes me cringe. Very slow process and always unreachable.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep it up and give people more opportunities to grow.

I have been working at Glassdoor full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Benefits are great. Unlimited PTO means that you can have a real work-life balance. The people are generally very friendly and there is a good sense of community.

    Cons

Teams tend to work in silos which leads to miscommunication and makes it hard to get simple things done. The company is growing quickly and process hasn't completely caught up.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Trust people to do their jobs.

I have been working at Glassdoor full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Compensation is great. Benefits are also a great part of working here.
Work/life balance is really good. I almost never worked more than 40 hours a week.
The culture is nice. My coworkers were friendly and always helpful.

    Cons

Not a lot of promotions. The business hierarchy is pretty flat so it is hard to move up. There are times when things are unclear so my team did not always know what we were supposed to be doing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management was transparent. Should have had more training.

I worked at Glassdoor as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

The job itself is not all that hard, the people were awesome and very helpful. The environment was outstanding and very welcoming. Very laid back work environment, you could bring your dog to work, they worked with you if something came up and you couldn't make it in or couldn't stay all day. Work-life balance was great. Gave you the option to work from home if you were not a temp if you wanted to. Really enjoyed my time there. Very involved in outside activities also. Great benefits from what I heard.

    Cons

Work from home if you are not a temp could be hard for some. Other than that I couldn't really see any con's besides normal start-up problems.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the awesome job the company itself if very helpful. Hopefully one day I will actually be an employee here again!!

    I worked at Glassdoor full-time

    Pros

Working for a company that truly cares about the employees is priceless. Not only does Glassdoor care about us, but the company culture is one of fun and a great atmosphere. Meetings are constructive with great feedaback

    Cons

There is a lot to be done and not always enough people to do it. Demanding work schedule and challenging opportunities make have a short staffed organization hard to work for in the future I hope they correct this too.
