Current Employee – been working at Goldman Sachs
Pros – The company has great benefits and a strong culture of unity and hard work. My position is highly analytical, but you might not get that as an operations employee. Your duties will depend completely on what teams are available when you start if you are in the operations division.
Cons – The culture and tasks of the individual team you are placed on in Salt Lake will determine more about your overall experience than anything else.
Advice to Senior Management – Match employees up with duties that align with their strengths rather than what might be open at the time. Promotions are merit based, but some activities go unnoticed.

Former Employee – worked at Goldman Sachs
Pros – Great support network. As an intern, you have the same responsabilities as your teammates. Also, there are numerous networking events that are fun and informative.
Cons – Extremely long hours. The work and life balance is extremely difficult to balance, even working in Salt Lake City. However, you become very close with your coworkers so we would celebrate Fridays after work.

Current Employee – been working at Goldman Sachs
Pros – The benefits are good. They offer a couple choices for health insurance that are pretty good. The pay is ok to start but the potential to make a lot later on is present.
Cons – I'm 25 and I worry about sitting in the same desk until I'm 40. The open work spaces can be a bit depressing at times.
Advice to Senior Management – My manager is good and respects our whole team. I don't have much advice to management being that I just started.
