I have been working at GoodLife Fitness full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Worked in nearly every club level position for GL. All performance based - which has been a double edged sword
Good commission potential for the right person
Cons – Company promotes too quickly, and promotes best sales people, not necessarily best leaders.
Advice to Senior Management – Slow down company growth. Culture is becoming watered down, along with the level of service we're being asked to deliver.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

I worked at GoodLife Fitness
Pros – Very flexible and it's great seeing people making positive changes in their lives.
Cons – Not all of the financial stuff is handled well and members complain a lot. It isn't for the weak of heart.
Advice to Senior Management – Prepare staff for possible confrontations/ problems and how to solve them .

I have been working at GoodLife Fitness
Pros – Great environment, get to see people change their lives and get healthy, very positive. Great incentives and bonus structure for sales and management.
Cons – Can be stressfull. Easy to loose sight of work/life balance and work long hours. Can be challenging to remember to make time for our own physical fitness needs when working in the environment all day.
Advice to Senior Management – Impose more work/life balance strategies in order to retain more employees longer and keep them engaged. Adopt a more sustainable hiring process so not to rush un-fit candidates into higher roles.

I worked at GoodLife Fitness
Pros – It was a really great place to work. I enjoyed the aims of the company and the great people that are heading the company. I felt respected and important
Cons – It seemed that many of the positions were not paid a competitive wage. The wage was only fair for someone with minimal experience in those areas.
Advice to Senior Management – You do so many wonderful things to make the company into a community of great people. But there seems to be little effort to decrease turn around by paying competitive wages that would allow your employees to have the work/life balance they promote.

I worked at GoodLife Fitness
Pros – The club members are fantastic, it's possible to have a really great time every day just by saying HI to everyone.
Cons – Constantly having to sell, sell, sell - tanning packages and products, tee shirts, personal training, memberships... it's non stop pressure to sell.
