I worked at Goodrich Corporation full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Decent benefits.
Great work location.
Average pay salary.
Cons – Racial inequality when it comes to promotions.
Immature tactics by management.
Terrible HR policies.
Rules and policies are only applied to certain groups of people.
Employees are advanced up the organizational chart by tenure and not by proving themselves.
Advice to Senior Management – Ensure departments are following policies and are fair.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

I worked at Goodrich Corporation
Pros – good benefits, fair pay, lots of travel
the every other friday off is a great benefit
tuition reimbursement is easy
Cons – management is not educated
average age is 54
HR has too much power
need more incentive pay
location is terrrible
Advice to Senior Management – make every vice president get a real MBA, layoff or fire non-performers, stop having HR control the company - too much emphasis on lean in the office

I have been working at Goodrich Corporation
Pros – The company has solid financial position and good reputation in the industry. Starting salaries are generally good and benefits are fair. Very flexible work hours and there is a strong community feel among the employees.
Cons – Senior leaderships lacks vision and ability to inspire. Promotional opportunities highly favor those with a willingness to relocate. Far too much meaningless busywork on LEAN. Not enough diversity in people or thought.
Advice to Senior Management – Wake up! Just minding the store and making random acquisitions isn't a strategy.

I worked at Goodrich Corporation
Pros – Because the staff was so thin, you could get a wide variety of experience
Cons – Management was way too demanding of employees and would not bring in the right people to help get the job done. Instead of helping getting things done and understanding what needed to be done, they would just ask us why things weren't done yet.
Advice to Senior Management – Realize that most of the people were doing as good of a job as they could

I worked at Goodrich Corporation
Pros – The people are the best thing about working at Goodrich, interaction is great, and they are all working towards a common goal.
Cons – Upper management does not know where the Chandler site is heading to, if they do, they have not given a clear vision to the workforce. Very political.
Chandler site management has massive turnover in the last 3 years.
Sending a lot of work to Mexico and laying off a lot of employees.
Advice to Senior Management – Communicate with the employees about the true direction of the Chandler organization, instead of just giving the people only what you want them to know at the time.

I have been working at Goodrich Corporation
Pros – Goodrich provides a pretty significant tuition assistance program, as well as offers a number of health plans. Management is pretty flexible when it comes to needing time off
Cons – If you expect to get a promotion for doing good work- You are in for a suprise. Promotions are based more upon time of service, rather than effort.
Advice to Senior Management – There are too many levels of middle management. Employees often feel like their voices aren't heard, and don't matter. Senior management needs to embrace the People philosophy

I have been working at Goodrich Corporation
Pros – Goodrich has many different business units and a wide variety of places and things to work on. That is probably the best thing about Goodrich.
Cons – Because Goodrich is really made up of a bunch of companies they have purchased over the past 20 years since exiting the tire business the company really has no identity. Its just a holding or investment company. There is a vast difference between the individual businesses and the treatment of people vary greatly as well. Some place people are well treated and at others they are treated unfairly.
Advice to Senior Management – Turn up the heat on the Goodrich People Philosophy. It is clearly needed because of how some people have been treated.

I worked at Goodrich Corporation
Pros – At the division I was working, salaries were competitive compared to other manufacturers in the area
Cons – Senior leadership at my division was white men with 32 years experience and up. Your classic good ol boys group. They were very protective of their "turf"
Advice to Senior Management – "Do the right thing" This may seem silmplistic but there were many occasions when the best interest of the company and its employees was not followed
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

I have been working at Goodrich Corporation full-time
Pros – Goodrich cared about their employees
Cons – UTC is a heartless corporation who is using Goodrich as a bank
Advice to Senior Management – It's too late, first thing UTC did was announce lay offs
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
